孫祿堂 ——武學宗師
孫(sun)祿(lu)(lu)(lu)堂(tang)(tang)天資聰穎(ying),勤奮好學(xue)(xue),9歲喪(sang)父,家(jia)中一(yi)貧如洗,由老母撫養(yang)成人(ren)。他(ta)喜愛武(wu)術(shu),曾拜一(yi)位江湖拳(quan)(quan)師學(xue)(xue)習少(shao)林拳(quan)(quan)術(shu),時間(jian)雖短,但他(ta)好學(xue)(xue)苦(ku)(ku)練,練得(de)一(yi)身(shen)好功(gong)(gong)夫(fu)。11歲時背井離鄉(xiang),去(qu)保定一(yi)家(jia)毛筆店(dian)做(zuo)學(xue)(xue)徒。13歲時孫(sun)祿(lu)(lu)(lu)堂(tang)(tang)拜河北省名(ming)拳(quan)(quan)師李(li)(li)魁元(yuan)為師,學(xue)(xue)習形意(yi)拳(quan)(quan),同(tong)(tong)時文武(wu)兼學(xue)(xue)。兩年(nian)(nian)后(hou),孫(sun)的武(wu)藝(yi)(yi)出(chu)類拔萃(cui),李(li)(li)魁元(yuan)便把他(ta)推薦給自己(ji)的師傅郭(guo)云(yun)深繼續深造。不久他(ta)便把形意(yi)拳(quan)(quan)的真(zhen)功(gong)(gong)學(xue)(xue)到手。然而他(ta)并不滿足,還繼續尋(xun)師學(xue)(xue)藝(yi)(yi),到北京跟(gen)八卦掌名(ming)師,程廷華學(xue)(xue)藝(yi)(yi),由于孫(sun)祿(lu)(lu)(lu)堂(tang)(tang)本來(lai)功(gong)(gong)底深厚,又(you)得(de)程師竭力指(zhi)教,苦(ku)(ku)練年(nian)(nian)余,盡(jin)(jin)得(de)八卦拳(quan)(quan)的精髓。為使他(ta)經風雨見世面,廣(guang)識神州武(wu)林各派之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)精華,追本求源,掙脫師法樊籬,日后(hou)自成一(yi)家(jia),便誠懇地勸(quan)他(ta)離師門去(qu)四海訪(fang)藝(yi)(yi)。1886年(nian)(nian)春,孫(sun)祿(lu)(lu)(lu)堂(tang)(tang)只(zhi)身(shen)徙步壯游南(nan)北11省,期間(jian)訪(fang)少(shao)林,朝武(wu)當(dang),上峨嵋,聞有(you)藝(yi)(yi)者必訪(fang)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi),逢人(ren)較技未遇(yu)對手。1888年(nian)(nian)他(ta)返歸(gui)故里(li),同(tong)(tong)年(nian)(nian)在家(jia)鄉(xiang)創辦了蒲(pu)陽拳(quan)(quan)社,廣(guang)收門徒。孫(sun)祿(lu)(lu)(lu)堂(tang)(tang)早年(nian)(nian)精研形意(yi)拳(quan)(quan),師從(cong)(cong)李(li)(li)魁元(yuan),復(fu)從(cong)(cong)郭(guo)云(yun)深,共(gong)十一(yi)年(nian)(nian),其間(jian)又(you)得(de)宋世榮、車(che)毅齋、白西園諸前輩親授,加之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)孫(sun)祿(lu)(lu)(lu)堂(tang)(tang)天資彌高、性情恬淡,故孫(sun)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)形意(yi)拳(quan)(quan)功(gong)(gong)夫(fu)能超逸前代(dai),功(gong)(gong)臻(zhen)沖空化境(jing)。繼而孫(sun)祿(lu)(lu)(lu)堂(tang)(tang)為了研究拳(quan)(quan)與《易(yi)》之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)關系,又(you)從(cong)(cong)程廷華研習八卦拳(quan)(quan)數月,多有(you)心得(de),技藝(yi)(yi)精深,但絲(si)毫無(wu)自得(de)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)意(yi)。年(nian)(nian)余后(hou),程廷華稱贊(zan)道:“吾授徒數百,從(cong)(cong)未有(you)天資聰慧復(fu)能專心潛(qian)學(xue)(xue)如弟(di)者。吾與弟(di)意(yi)氣(qi)相(xiang)投,故將余技盡(jin)(jin)傳之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)。弟(di)生(sheng)有(you)宿(su)慧始能達此。
1907年(nian)(nian)(nian)東三省(sheng)總督徐(xu)世昌久聞(wen)孫(sun)祿堂武(wu)功絕(jue)(jue)倫,由(you)此(ci)聘他(ta)為幕賓,同(tong)往東北,1909年(nian)(nian)(nian)孫(sun)隨徐(xu)返回北京。1912年(nian)(nian)(nian)孫(sun)祿堂在(zai)北京遇太極(ji)名家(jia)(jia)郝(hao)為真(zhen)。郝(hao)將自己所(suo)習(xi)太極(ji)拳之心得(de)傳于孫(sun)祿堂。此(ci)時孫(sun)祿堂武(wu)功卓絕(jue)(jue),德高(gao)(gao)望重(zhong),譽滿京城。1918年(nian)(nian)(nian)孫(sun)祿堂終于將三家(jia)(jia)合冶一(yi)(yi)(yi)爐,融會貫通,革(ge)故鼎新(xin),創立了孫(sun)氏(shi)太極(ji)拳,卓然自成(cheng)一(yi)(yi)(yi)家(jia)(jia)。同(tong)年(nian)(nian)(nian)徐(xu)世昌請孫(sun)祿堂入總統府(fu),任武(wu)宣(xuan)官。1928年(nian)(nian)(nian)3月,南京中(zhong)央(yang)國術(shu)館成(cheng)立,孫(sun)受聘為該館武(wu)當門門長(chang),7月,又被聘為江蘇省(sheng)國術(shu)館副館長(chang)兼教務長(chang)。孫(sun)祿堂晚年(nian)(nian)(nian),正值(zhi)列強環伺,國力衰微,民族危亡日趨嚴(yan)重(zhong),在(zai)外侮面(mian)前(qian),孫(sun)大義(yi)凜然,在(zai)他(ta)年(nian)(nian)(nian)近半百時,曾信(xin)手(shou)擊昏挑戰的俄(e)國著名格斗家(jia)(jia)彼得(de)洛夫,年(nian)(nian)(nian)逾花(hua)甲時,力挫(cuo)日本天(tian)皇(huang)欽命大武(wu)士(shi)板垣一(yi)(yi)(yi)雄,古稀之年(nian)(nian)(nian),又一(yi)(yi)(yi)舉擊敗日本5名技術(shu)高(gao)(gao)手(shou)的聯合挑戰,故在(zai)武(wu)林(lin)中(zhong)不虛有虎頭少保(bao),天(tian)下第一(yi)(yi)(yi)手(shou)的美稱。
先生一生以教(jiao)拳為業,足跡遍祖國(guo)各地。年(nian)邁七(qi)旬,應(ying)聘為中央國(guo)術(shu)館武當門(men)門(men)長(chang),嗣后(hou)為江蘇省國(guo)術(shu)館教(jiao)務長(chang)。先生教(jiao)學(xue)循循善誘,其弟(di)子(zi)較(jiao)著(zhu)名者如:靳云(yun)(yun)亭、李潤如、陳微明、沙國(guo)政等,其子(zi)孫(sun)存周(zhou),其女(nv)孫(sun)劍(jian)云(yun)(yun)亦均能傳(chuan)其父業。先生一生弟(di)子(zi)眾(zhong)多,遍布海內(nei)(nei)外,小女(nv)孫(sun)劍(jian)云(yun)(yun)女(nv)士(shi)是曾任孫(sun)氏太(tai)(tai)極拳研究(jiu)會會長(chang),孫(sun)氏太(tai)(tai)極拳的第二代掌門(men)人(ren)。1915年(nian)到1932期間,孫(sun)祿(lu)堂除撰寫(xie)了《太(tai)(tai)極拳學(xue)》外、還先后(hou)著(zhu)述《形意拳學(xue)》、《八卦(gua)掌學(xue)》、《拳意述真》、《八卦(gua)劍(jian)學(xue)》、《論(lun)拳術(shu)內(nei)(nei)外家之(zhi)別(bie)》等重要(yao)專著(zhu)和文(wen)章。1933年(nian)冬(dong)天他無疾而終,享年(nian)73歲。
家學傳承
孫(sun)公(gong)祿堂先生門子(zi)弟子(zi)遍海內,傳承至今,歷(li)盡(jin)數(shu)代,國內傳承地區主(zhu)要有東(dong)北地區、津(jin)京地區、河北定興萬(wan)縣(xian)、江浙一帶及湖北四川等地,一代二代弟子(zi)皆(jie)為各界佼佼者。

大事年表
1860年(nian)即咸豐十(shi)年(nian)十(shi)一(yi)月十(shi)五日申時,孫祿堂先生(sheng)(sheng)誕生(sheng)(sheng)。
1865年,先生入(ru)私塾。
1867年,先(xian)生喪父,遂綴學。
1868年—1872年,先生(sheng)從吳某(mou)習內功(gong)、輕功(gong)、散手及暗器。
1872年年關,因(yin)母(mu)病重,先生(sheng)愧悔自己無奉(feng)養之能于(yu)夜(ye)半在村外(wai)棗林自縊。清晨被路人(ren)救起,因(yin)感先生(sheng)骨脈(mo)絕人(ren),資(zi)助之。遂之攜母(mu)投保(bao)定一親友,學制毛筆。同(tong)年,被保(bao)定名拳家(jia)李奎(kui)元看中(zhong),收為弟子。從李修形(xing)意(yi)拳兼習(xi)文。
1875年,李(li)師見先生(sheng)修武殆有天授(shou),恐(kong)誤先生(sheng)日(ri)后(hou)前程,遂將先生(sheng)薦于(yu)李(li)之師郭(guo)云(yun)深(shen)(shen)處,從(cong)(cong)此先生(sheng)從(cong)(cong)郭(guo)云(yun)深(shen)(shen)深(shen)(shen)造形意拳8年。
1878年(nian),先(xian)生隨郭云深遷往西陵(ling)。結識劉曉蘭(lan)、宋(song)世榮等。
1880年,先生(sheng)隨郭往白(bai)西(xi)園處,得白(bai)西(xi)園傳贈形意(yi)拳拳譜(pu)。并(bing)得白(bai)西(xi)園傳授武醫之(zhi)道。由(you)是(shi),先生(sheng)欲參《易》修拳,以發明光大此拳譜(pu)之(zhi)奧蘊。同(tong)年,先生(sheng)隨郭赴晉訪車毅齋、宋(song)世榮等(deng)。在晉期間,先生(sheng)與(yu)門內外同(tong)人廣泛(fan)交流切磋,未嘗(chang)負之(zhi)。郭云(yun)深贊先生(sheng)曰(yue):“此子(zi)真能不辱其師。”
1881年(nian),宋(song)世榮來信(xin)邀先生再往晉(jin)(jin)論(lun)拳。不久先生持信(xin)訪晉(jin)(jin),得宋(song)講論(lun)內(nei)經及煉神還虛之法并論(lun)及內(nei)外家之別。由(you)是,先生內(nei)功進至虛境。之后(hou),先生再返郭云(yun)深處,與郭共(gong)同(tong)研究(jiu)形意(yi)拳理法,遂(sui)得出形意(yi)拳之三(san)步功夫、三(san)層道(dao)理、三(san)種練法。
1882年,先生(sheng)為深究拳與《易(yi)》之關系,經郭云深舉薦,先生(sheng)赴京城,從程庭華研習(xi)八卦拳。
1883年,南(nan)(nan)(nan)方某武(wu)師(shi)北上京城,專(zhuan)訪各派名師(shi)較(jiao)技,所向披(pi)靡。后訪至程(cheng)庭華(hua),程(cheng)之(zhi)同門(men)與南(nan)(nan)(nan)人(ren)較(jiao),皆不敵。程(cheng)為避其銳,數日閉門(men)不出(chu)(chu)。時(shi)先(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)新到程(cheng)處不久,僅研習轉掌數月,未被程(cheng)師(shi)列(lie)入門(men)內,故未請先(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)。然先(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)自(zi)愿要求(qiu)代(dai)程(cheng)師(shi)與南(nan)(nan)(nan)人(ren)一較(jiao)。比試中,先(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)一出(chu)(chu)手(shou)即(ji)將(jiang)南(nan)(nan)(nan)人(ren)由屋(wu)內擊出(chu)(chu)窗外(wai)。南(nan)(nan)(nan)人(ren)深(shen)服之(zhi)。程(cheng)師(shi)亦大喜過望,遂授先(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)八(ba)(ba)卦(gua)拳(quan)理法(fa)及點穴、輕(qing)功、八(ba)(ba)卦(gua)劍、七星(xing)桿等絕技。因先(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)之(zhi)形(xing)意(yi)拳(quan)已臻化境,故僅習數月,先(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)即(ji)得(de)八(ba)(ba)卦(gua)拳(quan)之(zhi)精微。由是,先(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)感悟(wu)出(chu)(chu)形(xing)意(yi)拳(quan)與八(ba)(ba)卦(gua)拳(quan)其理實相通耳。
1884年(nian)秋,先生(sheng)已通(tong)悟八卦拳。切磋較技(ji),未遇(yu)其匹。程師(shi)遂勸先生(sheng)效當(dang)年(nian)董公海川(chuan)訪游天下,以臻至(zhi)境。程曰:“汝生(sheng)有(you)宿慧始(shi)克臻此。余意,汝之技(ji)黃河南北已無敵手。祿堂前途珍重,可去矣!行矣!”
1885年,先(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)開始云(yun)游(you)。途徑河(he)北、河(he)南(nan)、湖(hu)北、四川、湖(hu)南(nan)、廣東、江(jiang)西、安(an)徽、浙江(jiang)、江(jiang)蘇、山東等十(shi)一(yi)省,其間游(you)行郡(jun)邑鄉野(ye)并曾(ceng)訪少林、朝武(wu)當、上峨嵋,聞(wen)有藝者,先(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)不辭遠蔽、險(xian)阻,必(bi)訪至(zhi)。不服(fu)與較,先(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)未(wei)嘗(chang)負之(zhi)(zhi)。先(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)喜攀援絕險(xian)奇峰、涉大(da)川幽谷(gu)。曾(ceng)遇異人(ren),乃一(yi)云(yun)游(you)隱道(dao),俗姓張。授(shou)先(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)修心養氣大(da)法(fa),該法(fa)能自然辟谷(gu),清凈腹藏氣血之(zhi)(zhi)雜物(wu)。先(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)將此融(rong)入(ru)形意八卦修習(xi)之(zhi)(zhi)中,達至(zhi)騰身走凌空、慧(hui)劍射神光之(zhi)(zhi)境(jing)地。后又于蜀中從一(yi)高僧研修《易(yi)經(jing)》。并于武(wu)當與一(yi)陳姓隱道(dao)一(yi)同結廬,聞(wen)其講論丹(dan)經(jing)。先(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)遨游(you)方外,登(deng)云(yun)天、造九極(ji),逐虎豹、入(ru)林莽(mang),一(yi)路行俠奇事極(ji)多(duo),曾(ceng)多(duo)次遇匪、獨斗群梟,所向披靡(mi)。南(nan)方有碑文記載。歷(li)時三年余(yu),先(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)于武(wu)道(dao)功臻造極(ji)至(zhi)境(jing)。行止(zhi)坐(zuo)臥(wo)、一(yi)念一(yi)應,無不依(yi)乎天理合于道(dao)。于是,先(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)返里(li)。
1888年秋,先(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)返回保定。因先(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)聲譽極隆。欲拜師(shi)者甚(shen)眾。當地(di)拳家甚(shen)忌之(zhi)(zhi)。群謀暗(an)算先(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)。彼察(cha)得先(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)有去某(mou)店飲(yin)茶(cha)之(zhi)(zhi)習。一(yi)日(ri)(ri),二(er)十余人(ren)暗(an)伏該店內(nei)外(wai)。候至先(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)入店揭簾(lian)轉身之(zhi)(zhi)瞬,伏者前后夾擊,猛不(bu)可擋。先(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)于不(bu)意之(zhi)(zhi)中,感而遂通(tong),若電光擊人(ren),使(shi)前后偷襲者皆昏撲于地(di)。眾拳家驚恐不(bu)已,疑(yi)先(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)為天神。時先(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)于武技(ji)已臻至空、至虛之(zhi)(zhi)化(hua)境,能有不(bu)聞不(bu)見之(zhi)(zhi)知覺,雖(sui)驟臨不(bu)測,亦能從容(rong)應(ying)變、感而遂通(tong)。此事發生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)后,至先(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)處(chu)求教或獵奇者甚(shen)眾,每日(ri)(ri)不(bu)絕。先(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)苦之(zhi)(zhi),不(bu)久返歸故里,同年,創蒲陽(yang)拳社。于是先(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)每日(ri)(ri)潛心玩(wan)味神化(hua)不(bu)測之(zhi)(zhi)功(gong)用(yong),研究易經黃老奇門遁甲等(deng)學(xue),并兼教鄉人(ren)文武兩(liang)道。教授(shou)弟(di)子裘德元、張(zhang)玉(yu)(yu)峰、張(zhang)玉(yu)(yu)山、崔(cui)老玉(yu)(yu)、李老丹等(deng)。
1889年,完(wan)縣縣令拜于門(men)下(xia)。同(tong)年先生(sheng)與張昭賢(xian)女士完(wan)婚。
1890年(nian),先(xian)(xian)生得長子(zi)。同年(nian),經友人(ren)(ren)舉薦,至豐潤。為清庭(ting)招(zhao)考武(wu)庠(xiang)生。其間,先(xian)(xian)生曾輕取北(bei)方武(wu)術大家、被時人(ren)(ren)尊為武(wu)圣人(ren)(ren)者——武(wu)林志(zhi)。
1893年,先生(sheng)(sheng)得次子。不(bu)(bu)久(jiu),經友(you)人孫紹(shao)亭(ting)之邀(yao)前往定(ding)興(xing)。時紹(shao)亭(ting)與(yu)(yu)當地(di)某(mou)拳(quan)家有仇(chou)。某(mou)邀(yao)集北五省(sheng)武林中之錚錚者百余人前來與(yu)(yu)紹(shao)亭(ting)決斗。紹(shao)亭(ting)僅邀(yao)到先生(sheng)(sheng)一(yi)人即(ji)與(yu)(yu)彼等不(bu)(bu)期而遇。紹(shao)亭(ting)見彼等人眾(zhong)且皆持器械,轉(zhuan)身(shen)即(ji)逃。先生(sheng)(sheng)無奈,獨(du)自(zi)應戰。傷彼數十人,余作(zuo)鳥獸散(san)。而先生(sheng)(sheng)未遭(zao)一(yi)傷。此(ci)后訟(song)事(shi)(shi)由紹(shao)亭(ting)辦理(li)。此(ci)事(shi)(shi)傳出(chu)后,人言(yan)先生(sheng)(sheng)為(wei)“平定(ding)興(xing)”。
1897年,先生得季子。同(tong)年先生赴京城探望程庭(ting)華。二人朝夕相處,意甚洽(qia)。數日后(hou)先生返。同(tong)門張玉奎等問程:“祿堂師兄技竟何如?”程庭(ting)華曰(yue):“神乎(hu)哉!神乎(hu)哉!獨步絕倫(lun)矣!”
1898年(nian),郭(guo)云深在去世前,把(ba)集其一生習武心(xin)得寫成(cheng)的《解說形意拳經》一書交與先生。以示先生為郭(guo)之衣(yi)缽傳人。
1899年,先生得四(si)女。并于定興收孫(sun)振(zhen)川(chuan)、孫(sun)振(zhen)岱為徒(tu)。
1900年,庚(geng)子之亂。先(xian)生不安,再(zai)入京城探望(wang)程(cheng)庭(ting)華。時(shi)程(cheng)已犧牲。先(xian)生遂(sui)返。
1900年—1907年,先生繼辦蒲陽拳社(she),探究儒釋道(dao)與拳學(xue)互(hu)證、互(hu)通之理(li)。教授出(chu)齊公博、任彥芝、陳守(shou)禮等(deng)一批弟子。其間,清(qing)庭在京郊(jiao)舉行規模盛大“天(tian)(tian)下英雄(xiong)(xiong)會”即演(yan)武(wu)大會,邀集南北各派(pai)武(wu)林高手前(qian)(qian)來比(bi)試。先生亦(yi)前(qian)(qian)往。經比(bi)試,先生技冠群雄(xiong)(xiong)。遂在武(wu)林中,先生享(xiang)有“虎頭少(shao)保,天(tian)(tian)下第(di)一手”之譽。
1907年—1909年,徐世昌慕先(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)武藝絕(jue)倫,聘請先(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)前來東北為其幕賓。期間,俄國及歐洲格(ge)斗冠(guan)軍彼(bi)得洛夫(fu)途徑奉天,經俄公使館提(ti)議,彼(bi)得洛夫(fu)與先(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)進行一場(chang)比(bi)武。先(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)應邀前往,比(bi)試(shi)中,交臂間,先(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)輕(qing)取彼(bi)。于是先(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)名震海外。之后,徐曾保(bao)先(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)為知縣、知州。先(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)婉謝之。
1909年,先(xian)生隨徐世昌(chang)返(fan)京。不久霍(huo)元甲南下上海(hai)挑(tiao)戰英國拳家(jia)奧皮音,特邀先(xian)生同(tong)往,為其壓陣。先(xian)生預言,彼必不敢接戰。至(zhi)海(hai)上,果真如此,霍(huo)深服(fu)之(zhi)。
1910年,先生舉家遷入北京(jing)。
1910年(nian)—1911年(nian),先生從(cong)徐世昌游。
1912年(nian),經(jing)友人介紹,先生(sheng)(sheng)與(yu)太極拳(quan)家郝(hao)(hao)(hao)為(wei)真相(xiang)識。初,相(xiang)敘投契,繼而先生(sheng)(sheng)請問太極拳(quan)之(zhi)(zhi)意,遂作切磋。搭手間,郝(hao)(hao)(hao)維(wei)(wei)禎(zhen)頓覺不支(zhi)、自嘆(tan)弗如。郝(hao)(hao)(hao)嘆(tan)曰:“異哉!吾一(yi)語而子通悟(wu)勝專習(xi)數十年(nian)者(zhe)。”蓋此時先生(sheng)(sheng)之(zhi)(zhi)形意、八卦與(yu)太極拳(quan)之(zhi)(zhi)意相(xiang)通矣(yi)。后郝(hao)(hao)(hao)氏病困于京,經(jing)先生(sheng)(sheng)救助,得以恢復。郝(hao)(hao)(hao)維(wei)(wei)禎(zhen)感先生(sheng)(sheng)之(zhi)(zhi)恩無以為(wei)報,得知(zhi)先生(sheng)(sheng)正研(yan)究比較各派拳(quan)術(shu)使之(zhi)(zhi)合一(yi),遂將所(suo)習(xi)太極拳(quan)之(zhi)(zhi)心得理(li)法相(xiang)告(gao)。先生(sheng)(sheng)極重德行,遂折節持弟子禮。
同年,先生次子亦效先生當年,獨杖南游(you)。
1912年(nian)—1914年(nian),先(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)經徐世昌懇(ken)請,隨(sui)徐往返青島(dao)、北(bei)京。其間于青島(dao),先(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)收(shou)劍術(shu)家潘贊化于門下。 不久,先(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)參加“世界(jie)大力(li)士格(ge)斗大賽”,先(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)以全(quan)勝戰績榮(rong)獲總冠軍(jun)。震動世界(jie)。 其間,先(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)與京津各派名家共議形意(yi)、八卦(gua)、太極(ji)、通背四門合一,欲建立統一的武術(shu)技(ji)術(shu)體系。后因(yin)師(shi)友之故(gu),先(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)與通背名家張(zhang)策(ce)較(jiao)技(ji),輕取(qu)張(zhang)策(ce)。張(zhang)羞敗,負氣出關。1914年(nian)夏,先(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)得五(wu)女。
1915年,先生(sheng)撰寫(xie)出(chu)版《形意(yi)(yi)拳(quan)(quan)(quan)學》一(yi)書。該書為(wei)公(gong)開出(chu)版有關形意(yi)(yi)拳(quan)(quan)(quan)之第一(yi)部專著(zhu)。先生(sheng)參儒(ru)道(dao)兩(liang)學、合丹經易理重構形意(yi)(yi)法、理,建立形意(yi)(yi)拳(quan)(quan)(quan)理論(lun)(lun)及技術(shu)體系。提出(chu)中和(he)為(wei)用,和(he)之中智勇生(sheng)焉的理論(lun)(lun)。先生(sheng)合形意(yi)(yi)、八卦(gua)、太(tai)極三拳(quan)(quan)(quan)為(wei)一(yi),創立孫氏形意(yi)(yi)拳(quan)(quan)(quan)。其間,文(wen)人學者陳微明(ming)、吳(wu)心谷等拜(bai)于門下(xia)。期間,先生(sheng)在法政(zheng)學校教授(shou)武術(shu)。陳法可、靳云亭(ting)、龔(gong)劍堂等帶藝拜(bai)于先生(sheng)門下(xia)。
1916年,先生撰寫出(chu)版《八(ba)卦拳學》一(yi)書。該書是有關八(ba)卦拳之第一(yi)部專著。先生論(lun)拳,參(can)丹(dan)經(jing)、合易(yi)理(li),提出(chu)一(yi)以貫(guan)之、純以神行之道。發明(ming)先后天相合之技術、理(li)論(lun)系統,授以天人合一(yi)、神化(hua)不測之功用。創立八(ba)卦拳之理(li)論(lun)與技術體系。
同年,應同門(men)劉(liu)緯(wei)祥(xiang)(xiang)之邀,先(xian)(xian)生赴保定小(xiao)(xiao)察院(yuan)與劉(liu)會面(mian)。因劉(liu)長(chang)一輩(然(ran)劉(liu)比先(xian)(xian)生小(xiao)(xiao)四歲),先(xian)(xian)生謙(qian)之再。然(ran)劉(liu)緯(wei)祥(xiang)(xiang)定要與先(xian)(xian)生切(qie)磋,于是試技,先(xian)(xian)后試之三(san)次,先(xian)(xian)生三(san)次皆勝劉(liu)。于是劉(liu)緯(wei)祥(xiang)(xiang)感謂曰:“難怪郭先(xian)(xian)生把(ba)拳經傳給你。”劉(liu)緯(wei)祥(xiang)(xiang)者,人稱“劉(liu)二彪(biao)子”,乃華北形意巨(ju)匠也(ye)。
同年(nian),北京(jing)體育研習所許禹(yu)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)請(qing)先(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)去(qu)該所講(jiang)授(shou)太(tai)極拳。該所多(duo)有善太(tai)極者(zhe),經(jing)切(qie)磋,眾人對(dui)先(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)之(zhi)(zhi)太(tai)極技、理,莫(mo)不欽(qin)服。于是(shi)人稱先(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)之(zhi)(zhi)太(tai)極為孫氏(shi)太(tai)極。時海內各(ge)派武(wu)林名(ming)家訪先(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)請(qing)益者(zhe)甚眾,北京(jing)之(zhi)(zhi)四(si)民(min)武(wu)術社、天津之(zhi)(zhi)中(zhong)華武(wu)士會亦常請(qing)先(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)去(qu)講(jiang)授(shou)拳學,然(ran)先(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)常感謂曰:“余(yu)雖論拳不倦(juan),然(ran)百人之(zhi)(zhi)中(zhong)難(nan)遇一(yi)、二略明其真(zhen)意者(zhe)。”
1918年(nian)(nian),先生(sheng)宗(zong)老子(zi)自然(ran)之(zhi)道(dao)、合易(yi)筋洗(xi)髓兩經(jing)之(zhi)義(yi)、用周子(zi)太(tai)極(ji)圖(tu)之(zhi)形、取(qu)河洛之(zhi)理、依先后易(yi)之(zhi)數,融(rong)合形意、八卦(gua)、太(tai)極(ji)三門拳(quan)(quan)術之(zhi)真諦系統(tong)創立孫氏(shi)太(tai)極(ji)拳(quan)(quan)之(zhi)理法。同年(nian)(nian),開(kai)始撰(zhuan)寫《太(tai)極(ji)拳(quan)(quan)學(xue)》。同年(nian)(nian),應徐(xu)(xu)世昌親(qin)聘,先生(sheng)入總統(tong)府任武承宣(xuan)使。同年(nian)(nian),名士劉春霖、陳寶(bao)泉、徐(xu)(xu)樹錚及定興(xing)朱(zhu)國福等投拜門下。
1919年,先生(sheng)出(chu)版《太極(ji)拳學(xue)(xue)》一(yi)(yi)(yi)書。該書為太極(ji)拳發展史(shi)上第一(yi)(yi)(yi)部(bu)公開出(chu)版的(de)著作。先生(sheng)在該書中指出(chu)太極(ji)拳之(zhi)本(ben)質不過是(shi)研(yan)求一(yi)(yi)(yi)氣(qi)伸縮之(zhi)道。形意(yi)拳、八(ba)卦(gua)(gua)拳亦如此。一(yi)(yi)(yi)氣(qi)者即(ji)中和真一(yi)(yi)(yi)之(zhi)氣(qi),由無極(ji)而生(sheng)。故拳學(xue)(xue)莫不是(shi)自虛(xu)而始再還于(yu)虛(xu)。形意(yi)八(ba)卦(gua)(gua)太極(ji)三拳用法(fa)不同(tong),各有側重,然(ran)其理則一(yi)(yi)(yi)也(ye)。于(yu)是(shi)揭示出(chu)形意(yi)、八(ba)卦(gua)(gua)、太極(ji)三門拳學(xue)(xue)在本(ben)質上的(de)同(tong)一(yi)(yi)(yi)性(xing)和技(ji)術體(ti)系上的(de)互融、互補(bu)性(xing)。同(tong)年,完(wan)縣一(yi)(yi)(yi)帶(dai)大(da)旱(han),先生(sheng)傾家資大(da)洋千(qian)余(yu)元賑濟鄉里。
1920年,日本大(da)正天皇欽命大(da)武士、全(quan)日本柔術冠軍坂垣(yuan)(yuan)一(yi)雄前(qian)來中(zhong)國向先(xian)生挑(tiao)戰。先(xian)生在家中(zhong)接待坂垣(yuan)(yuan),并(bing)依坂垣(yuan)(yuan)之(zhi)法與(yu)坂垣(yuan)(yuan)試技(ji)。先(xian)生輕取之(zhi)。坂垣(yuan)(yuan)深服,愿出兩萬(wan)塊(kuai)大(da)洋投拜先(xian)生為(wei)師。先(xian)生婉拒(ju)之(zhi)。 1922年,先(xian)生離開總統府。時去中(zhong)山公園行健(jian)會講(jiang)授拳學。
1923年(nian)(nian),先(xian)(xian)生撰寫出版(ban)《拳(quan)意述真(zhen)》。先(xian)(xian)生在書中(zhong)闡發拳(quan)與道(dao)合之(zhi)理并論述通過修(xiu)拳(quan)而(er)至煉虛(xu)合道(dao)之(zhi)親身體悟(wu)(wu)。進(jin)而(er)揭(jie)示(shi)出由拳(quan)悟(wu)(wu)道(dao)之(zhi)進(jin)階(jie)之(zhi)梯。從而(er)使拳(quan)學成為中(zhong)國傳統哲學中(zhong)一個(ge)重要的體驗體系和組成部分。 同年(nian)(nian),先(xian)(xian)生喪季子(zi)。同年(nian)(nian),北(bei)京名(ming)拳(quan)家(jia)“神鷂(yao)子(zi)”陳魁、“京西劉”劉正邦等投拜門下(xia)。同年(nian)(nian),馬良等在滬舉辦全國武術(shu)表演大會,特邀先(xian)(xian)生前(qian)往助興(xing)。先(xian)(xian)生因鄙其(qi)為人,未行。
1924年(nian),先(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)赴晉,看望(wang)宋世榮(rong)。宋世榮(rong)稱贊先(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)曰(yue):“祿(lu)堂仁(ren)棣(di),學(xue)于后,空于前(qian),后來(lai)居(ju)上(shang)。獨續(xu)先(xian)(xian)(xian)宗絕學(xue)。”其(qi)間,當地(di)宋世榮(rong)之(zhi)得意門(men)人董秀生(sheng)等挽留先(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)數(shu)月,從先(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)學(xue)拳(quan)。先(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)為董宅題名:“養性軒”。 同(tong)年(nian),先(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)之(zhi)次(ci)子看報時(shi),不慎被其(qi)盟兄(xiong)誤傷左目。同(tong)年(nian),北京之(zhi)鄭懷賢、高道天、海桂元,天津(jin)之(zhi)李玉琳、李敦素(su)、朱(zhu)國禎(zhen)、龔劍堂、楊世垣等投拜門(men)下。
1925年,先生(sheng)(sheng)撰寫出《八卦劍(jian)(jian)學(xue)》一書。先生(sheng)(sheng)在(zai)該書中闡發(fa)劍(jian)(jian)學(xue)真諦,創立由拳劍(jian)(jian)而生(sheng)(sheng)慧(hui)劍(jian)(jian)之(zhi)(zhi)法理。使劍(jian)(jian)合(he)于(yu)道、人通于(yu)仙。直隸督辦、劍(jian)(jian)術名家李(li)景林特邀(yao)先生(sheng)(sheng)會晤,交流后(hou),李(li)深(shen)服之(zhi)(zhi)。之(zhi)(zhi)后(hou),李(li)常向先生(sheng)(sheng)請益劍(jian)(jian)法。李(li)對(dui)武當(dang)劍(jian)(jian)對(dui)練之(zhi)(zhi)整理,便(bian)多(duo)得先生(sheng)(sheng)之(zhi)(zhi)助。
1926年(nian),先生得道友關(guan)某(失(shi)其名),每日二人(ren)同(tong)處一室,共(gong)同(tong)合道修真。其法,不(bu)傳(chuan)六耳(er)。
1928年(nian)(nian),先生(sheng)(sheng)參(can)加(jia)中(zhong)央國(guo)(guo)(guo)術館(guan)(guan)開(kai)幕典禮,居(ju)中(zhong)而坐。嗣后(hou)被聘(pin)為(wei)中(zhong)央國(guo)(guo)(guo)術館(guan)(guan)武當門(men)門(men)長(chang)。后(hou)因忌(ji)之者眾(zhong),先生(sheng)(sheng)厭于(yu)人事(shi)關系(xi)糾紛,改就江蘇省國(guo)(guo)(guo)術館(guan)(guan)付館(guan)(guan)長(chang)兼教務長(chang)。同年(nian)(nian)10月,中(zhong)央國(guo)(guo)(guo)術館(guan)(guan)舉辦首屆國(guo)(guo)(guo)術國(guo)(guo)(guo)考,經數輪比試,先生(sheng)(sheng)之弟子(zi)朱國(guo)(guo)(guo)福、朱國(guo)(guo)(guo)禎等(deng)(deng)(deng)居(ju)最優等(deng)(deng)(deng)之列。同年(nian)(nian),肖漢卿、顧汝章、胡(hu)鳳山(shan)、曹晏海(hai)、柳印(yin)虎、沈(shen)祖(zu)安、金一明(ming)、金仕明(ming)等(deng)(deng)(deng)投拜先生(sheng)(sheng)門(men)下。
1929年(nian)(nian),先(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)發(fa)表《論拳術(shu)內外家之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)別(bie)(bie)》一文,談(tan)及四十八(ba)年(nian)(nian)前(qian),赴(fu)晉訪宋世榮(rong),討(tao)論內功及內外家之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)別(bie)(bie)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)事。同(tong)年(nian)(nian)3月,馬(ma)承(cheng)智、李慶瀾、袁偉(wei)、支燮堂、童文華等投拜先(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)門下。同(tong)年(nian)(nian)5月,先(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)參加“致(zhi)柔拳社”創立四周(zhou)年(nian)(nian)慶典。其間,與會太極名家紛紛向先(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)請益,于是先(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)分別(bie)(bie)與彼(bi)等試手(shou),時,先(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)身未動而(er)彼(bi)等已(yi)騰然飄起,眾人莫不驚服之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)。同(tong)年(nian)(nian)11月,浙省舉辦(ban)國術(shu)游藝(yi)大會。先(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)為(wei)副評判委員長。先(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)學生(sheng)(sheng)、弟子在(zai)本次比賽中(zhong)(zhong)表現(xian)出眾。在(zai)最優等前(qian)十名中(zhong)(zhong),先(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)學生(sheng)(sheng)弟子占居(ju)半數。其中(zhong)(zhong)胡(hu)鳳山和(he)曹晏海(hai)還被公認為(wei)是最具實力者。同(tong)年(nian)(nian)12月,上海(hai)舉辦(ban)國術(shu)大賽,先(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)被聘為(wei)評判委員會主任。先(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)弟子曹晏海(hai)、馬(ma)承(cheng)智分獲(huo)冠亞軍。袁偉(wei)獲(huo)第八(ba)名。
1930年,江(jiang)南(nan)水(shui)災。先(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)以古稀之齡參加賑災義(yi)演(yan)(yan)。先(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)表演(yan)(yan)形意(yi)明勁雜式捶。表演(yan)(yan)中(zhong),先(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)之發力(li)雄渾絕倫,神(shen)(shen)光四(si)射。內氣(qi)直(zhi)貫(guan)毫(hao)發,以致須發盡皆直(zhi)立而(er)起(qi),觀(guan)(guan)者(zhe)莫不嘆(tan)為觀(guan)(guan)止。主辦者(zhe)以“龍馬精神(shen)(shen)、熱忱匡助”之錦旗贈與先(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)。同年,日本(ben)又選派六位(wei)格斗高(gao)手(shou)前(qian)來中(zhong)國,向先(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)挑戰。先(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)決(jue)定以一(yi)對五(wu)。時先(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)平躺(tang)于(yu)地,命五(wu)位(wei)日人(ren)以任意(yi)方式固壓自(zi)己(ji),另一(yi)日人(ren)喊(han)三下,以試先(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)在(zai)三下之內能(neng)否起(qi)身。當日人(ren)剛(gang)喊(han)至兩(liang)下時,先(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)騰(teng)然而(er)起(qi),五(wu)位(wei)日人(ren)皆被(bei)發出數丈之外昏撲于(yu)地,一(yi)時竟不能(neng)起(qi)。日人(ren)遂驚(jing)服(fu)先(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)為神(shen)(shen)拳(quan)。次(ci)日,日人(ren)又至,愿出20萬大洋(yang),請先(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)東渡日本(ben),教(jiao)授拳(quan)術。先(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)婉拒之。后,日人(ren)遂奉先(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)為文武兩(liang)道三大雄。
1931年(nian),先(xian)生欲尋慧(hui)達之人(ren)繼承(cheng)自己(ji)之拳學。于(yu)(yu)(yu)是(shi)登報(bao)招(zhao)收弟子。此前先(xian)生曾尋天(tian)賦慧(hui)達者數十年(nian),始終(zhong)未(wei)遇。唯(wei)海桂(gui)元天(tian)賦尚(shang)可。可惜,1928年(nian)5月海桂(gui)元隨張(zhang)作(zuo)霖(lin)出關時(shi)被炸死(海是(shi)張(zhang)作(zuo)霖(lin)的貼身秘書)。先(xian)生此番招(zhao)徒條件有三(san):1、本人(ren)酷愛武術,三(san)年(nian)之內不(bu)準備從事(shi)其他事(shi)業者。2、大(da)學文化程度。3、面試合格。僅一周,報(bao)名者已(yi)達兩千余人(ren),先(xian)生從中擇出三(san)人(ren),認為條件尚(shang)可。決(jue)定使三(san)人(ren)各承(cheng)自己(ji)一門拳學。然,同年(nian)9月,“九(jiu)一八”事(shi)變爆(bao)發。國難(nan)當(dang)頭,人(ren)心(xin)(xin)惶惶,其時(shi),已(yi)不(bu)具備潛(qian)心(xin)(xin)修武之環(huan)境。于(yu)(yu)(yu)是(shi)先(xian)生抱憾(han)中斷傳授。于(yu)(yu)(yu)10月辭職返京。
1932年,先(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)發表(biao)《詳論形意八卦太極之原(yuan)理》一文。指出:“拳術之道(dao),首重中(zhong)和。中(zhong)和之外,無元妙也。” 時,北(bei)平國(guo)術館(guan)副(fu)館(guan)長許禹(yu)(yu)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)多次請先(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)出山(shan),先(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)未允(yun)。許懇請再(zai)三(san),先(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)同意偶(ou)爾去館(guan)中(zhong)做些指導。其間,尚(shang)云(yun)祥、鄧云(yun)峰、劉(liu)彩臣、許禹(yu)(yu)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)、馬貴(gui)、恒壽山(shan)、劉(liu)斌、馬步周等常到先(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)家(jia)中(zhong)向先(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)請益。切(qie)磋中(zhong),眾人莫不(bu)驚服,嘆(tan)先(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)技高不(bu)可測也。
1933年(nian),先(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)預言自己(ji)駕鶴之日(ri)(ri)。夫人大驚,遂(sui)命(ming)(ming)其女帶先(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)去(qu)德(de)國(guo)醫(yi)院(yuan)(今(jin)北(bei)京醫(yi)院(yuan))作全(quan)面體(ti)檢。先(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)笑曰:“吾(wu)(wu)身(shen)(shen)體(ti)無(wu)(wu)恙,去(qu)何醫(yi)院(yuan)。只是(shi)到(dao)時將有仙佛接(jie)引,吾(wu)(wu)欲(yu)一(yi)游(you)耳。”家人疑而(er)不信,堅持要先(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)去(qu)檢查。先(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)無(wu)(wu)奈,只得由小女陪(pei)伴去(qu)做體(ti)檢。檢查后德(de)國(guo)醫(yi)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)史蒂夫說(shuo):“孫(sun)(sun)先(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)的身(shen)(shen)體(ti)無(wu)(wu)任(ren)何不良(liang)跡象(xiang),比(bi)年(nian)輕人的身(shen)(shen)體(ti)還要好。”歸后,夫人又請名(ming)醫(yi)孔(kong)伯(bo)華(hua)來家中(zhong)為先(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)檢查。把脈后,孔(kong)曰:“孫(sun)(sun)先(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)六脈調和,無(wu)(wu)一(yi)絲微暇。這么(me)好的脈象(xiang),我還是(shi)第一(yi)次遇到(dao)。”家人遂(sui)安。同年(nian)秋,先(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)歸故里,不食者兩旬,而(er)每日(ri)(ri)習拳練(lian)字無(wu)(wu)間(jian)。至12月16日(ri)(ri)早上(夏歷十月二十九日(ri)(ri)卯時),先(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)對家人曰:“仙佛來接(jie)引矣。”遂(sui)命(ming)(ming)家人去(qu)戶外燒紙。于六點零五分,先(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)面朝東南,背(bei)靠西北(bei),端坐戶內,囑(zhu)家人勿哀哭并曰:“吾(wu)(wu)視(shi)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)死如(ru)游(you)戲耳。”一(yi)笑而(er)逝。遺有《八卦槍學》一(yi)書初(chu)稿。
