“建木”是上古(gu)先民崇(chong)拜的一種圣樹。
傳(chuan)說(shuo)建(jian)木(mu)是溝通(tong)天地人神(shen)的(de)橋(qiao)梁(liang)。伏羲(xi)、黃帝等眾帝都是通(tong)過(guo)這一(yi)神(shen)圣(sheng)的(de)梯子上下往來于(yu)人間天庭。在廣漢(han)三星堆中出土的(de)青銅神(shen)樹上,有枝(zhi)葉、花卉、果實、飛禽、走(zou)獸、懸龍、神(shen)鈴等,專家(jia)認(ren)為(wei),這種神(shen)樹的(de)原型,有可能就是建(jian)木(mu)。后“建(jian)木(mu)”在詩(shi)歌中用(yong)來泛(fan)指高(gao)大的(de)樹木(mu)。
1.傳說中(zhong)木名(ming)。生天地之(zhi)中(zhong),高百仞,眾神緣之(zhi)上天。
《山海經·海內(nei)南經》:“有(you)木(mu),其(qi)狀如(ru)牛,引之有(you)皮,若(ruo)纓、黃(huang)蛇。其(qi)葉(xie)如(ru)羅,其(qi)實(shi)如(ru)欒,其(qi)木(mu)若(ruo)蓲,其(qi)名曰建(jian)木(mu)。”郭璞(pu)注:“建(jian)木(mu),青葉(xie),紫莖(jing),黑(hei)華,黃(huang)實(shi),其(qi)下聲無(wu)響,立無(wu)影(ying)也。”
《山海(hai)經·海(hai)內經》:“建(jian)木(mu),百仞無枝(zhi),有九欘,下有九枸,其實如(ru)麻,其葉如(ru)芒,大暤爰過,黃帝所為。”
《呂氏春秋·有始》:“白民(min)之(zhi)南,建木(mu)之(zhi)下(xia),日中無(wu)影,呼而(er)無(wu)響(xiang),蓋天地之(zhi)中也。”
《淮南子(zi)·墬形(xing)訓》:“建(jian)木(mu)在都(dou)廣,眾(zhong)帝所(suo)自上(shang)下。”
唐盧照鄰《病梨樹賦》:“建木聳靈丘之(zhi)上,蟠桃生巨海之(zhi)側(ce)。”
2.高樹。《后漢書(shu)·馬融傳》:“珍(zhen)林嘉樹,建木叢生。”李賢注:“建木,長(chang)木也。”
《山海(hai)經·海(hai)內經》載:“西南海(hai)黑(hei)水(shui)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)間(jian),有(you)都廣之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)野,后(hou)稷(ji)(ji)葬焉。有(you)膏(gao)菽、膏(gao)稻、膏(gao)稷(ji)(ji),百谷自(zi)生,冬夏(xia)播琴(qin),鸞鳥(niao)自(zi)歌,鳳鳥(niao)自(zi)舞(wu),靈(ling)壽實華,草木所聚,爰(yuan)處有(you)百獸相群爰(yuan)。此草也,冬夏(xia)不死。南海(hai)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)內,黑(hei)水(shui)、青水(shui)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)間(jian),有(you)木名(ming)曰(yue)若木,若水(shui)焉。……有(you)九丘(qiu)(qiu),以水(shui)繞之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)。名(ming)曰(yue)陶唐之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)丘(qiu)(qiu),有(you)叔得之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)丘(qiu)(qiu),孟盈(ying)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)丘(qiu)(qiu),昆吾之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)丘(qiu)(qiu),黑(hei)白之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)丘(qiu)(qiu),赤望之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)丘(qiu)(qiu),
參衛(wei)之丘,武夫之丘,神(shen)即之丘。有(you)木(mu),青葉(xie)紫莖,玄(xuan)華(hua)黃實(shi),名曰建(jian)木(mu),百仞無枝,上有(you)九欘,下有(you)九枸,其(qi)(qi)實(shi)如(ru)麻,其(qi)(qi)葉(xie)如(ru)芒,大嗥爰過,黃帝所為(wei)。”
《淮(huai)南子·墬(zui)形訓》亦曰:“建(jian)木在(zai)都廣,眾(zhong)帝所自(zi)上下。日中無景,呼而無響,蓋天地(di)之(zhi)中也。”
這些古文獻都(dou)(dou)不約(yue)而(er)同提到“都(dou)(dou)廣(guang)”和“建木(mu)”兩(liang)個詞。那(nei)么“都(dou)(dou)廣(guang)”在(zai)(zai)何處?“建木(mu)”又是(shi)一種什么樣的樹(shu)木(mu)?明(ming)代學(xue)者(zhe)楊(yang)慎《山(shan)海經補注》說:“黑水(shui)都(dou)(dou)廣(guang),今之(zhi)成(cheng)都(dou)(dou)也(ye)。”史學(xue)家蒙文通先(xian)生(sheng)結(jie)論:“若(ruo)水(shui)即(ji)后(hou)之(zhi)雅礱(long)(long)江(jiang),若(ruo)水(shui)之(zhi)東(dong)(dong)即(ji)雅礱(long)(long)江(jiang)之(zhi)東(dong)(dong),在(zai)(zai)雅礱(long)(long)江(jiang)上(shang)源之(zhi)東(dong)(dong)、黃河(he)之(zhi)南之(zhi)昆侖(lun)(lun),自(zi)非岷(min)山(shan)莫屬。是(shi)昆侖(lun)(lun)為(wei)岷(min)山(shan)之(zhi)高峰。……昆侖(lun)(lun)既(ji)為(wei)蜀(shu)山(shan),亦(yi)與蜀(shu)王有關。《大傳》、《淮南》皆(jie)以昆侖(lun)(lun)為(wei)中央,與《禹(yu)本(ben)紀》、《山(shan)海經》說昆侖(lun)(lun)、都(dou)(dou)廣(guang)為(wei)中央之(zhi)義合。……蓋都(dou)(dou)廣(guang)在(zai)(zai)成(cheng)都(dou)(dou)平(ping)原而(er)岷(min)山(shan)即(ji)矗立(li)成(cheng)都(dou)(dou)平(ping)原側(ce)也(ye)。”對此,著名(ming)學(xue)者(zhe)鄧(deng)少琴亦(yi)稱,岷(min)山(shan)是(shi)昆侖(lun)(lun)之(zhi)一臂。“岷(min)山(shan)導江(jiang),東(dong)(dong)別為(wei)沱(tuo),于《禹(yu)貢》僅一見(jian)之(zhi),于殷墟甲文亦(yi)未(wei)之(zhi)見(jian)”。
“建(jian)(jian)木(mu)(mu)”是上古巴蜀先民崇(chong)拜(bai)的(de)一(yi)種圣樹(shu),它(ta)深深地(di)(di)融入了巴蜀文(wen)化之(zhi)中(zhong)(zhong)。古人何(he)以將(jiang)位(wei)于天地(di)(di)中(zhong)(zhong)心的(de)圣樹(shu)稱為(wei)建(jian)(jian)木(mu)(mu)呢?專家(jia)考證發現,建(jian)(jian)木(mu)(mu)的(de)得(de)名(ming)和初民的(de)“建(jian)(jian)中(zhong)(zhong)”之(zhi)制有(you)關。初民于居(ju)處之(zhi)地(di)(di)必立木(mu)(mu)桿旗幟以號眾,這種木(mu)(mu)桿旗幟在甲骨文(wen)中(zhong)(zhong)被稱為(wei)“中(zhong)(zhong)”。
