位(wei)于南(nan)池子大街(jie)東(dong)側(ce),普渡寺前(qian)巷35號。其址原為明(ming)代(dai)東(dong)苑(又(you)稱南(nan)城、小南(nan)城)中之重華宮,南(nan)界在今緞庫(ku)胡(hu)同。
歷史文化
明末(mo)被毀(hui),清順治(zhi)初年(nian)(nian)改(gai)建(jian)(jian)為(wei)攝政(zheng)王多(duo)爾袞(gun)之睿親王府。順治(zhi)七年(nian)(nian)(1650年(nian)(nian))多(duo)爾袞(gun)死于喀(ka)噶(ga)城(cheng)。二(er)月后追(zhui)奪(duo)王爵,王府上繳。康熙三(san)十二(er)年(nian)(nian)(1694年(nian)(nian)),縮小規(gui)模,將南(nan)部(bu)改(gai)建(jian)(jian)為(wei)緞匹庫,北部(bu)改(gai)建(jian)(jian)為(wei)瑪哈噶(ga)喇(la)廟,供(gong)奉護法(fa)神大黑天。乾隆四十年(nian)(nian)(1755年(nian)(nian))賜名“普(pu)度(du)寺”,正(zheng)(zheng)殿(dian)(dian)名“慈濟殿(dian)(dian)”,在正(zheng)(zheng)殿(dian)(dian)、山門兩(liang)側保留或興建(jian)(jian)了(le)行宮院(yuan)、方(fang)丈院(yuan)、小佛殿(dian)(dian)及僧寮等。據民國時張江裁著(zhu)《燕(yan)京訪古錄》載(zai),寺“為(wei)元代所(suo)建(jian)(jian),正(zheng)(zheng)殿(dian)(dian)供(gong)奉歡喜佛”,但此說明,清文獻不載(zai),恐不確切。
普度(du)寺(si)在清末(mo)至民國(guo)年間已為(wei)(wei)軍隊或其他(ta)機(ji)構(gou)使用,只有山門(men)、正(zheng)殿、方丈院(yuan)等保(bao)存較好(hao),其余部(bu)分(fen)或拆或改,失去原狀。建國(guo)后,中間部(bu)分(fen)為(wei)(wei)小學使用,周邊(bian)進(jin)入居(ju)(ju)民,新建了大量平房。2002-2003年,政府投(tou)資(zi)遷(qian)出小學和(he)住在寺(si)界以內的168戶居(ju)(ju)民,全面修復了臺(tai)基、正(zheng)殿、山門(men)和(he)方丈院(yuan)北(bei)房,其余房屋基址在取得考古資(zi)料(liao)后回填保(bao)護,進(jin)行綠化,成為(wei)(wei)居(ju)(ju)住小區(qu)內的公共活(huo)動場所。現為(wei)(wei)北(bei)京市文物保(bao)護單位。

北京稅務博物館
2007年5月16日,北(bei)京(jing)稅務博(bo)物館在此開放(fang),稅務博(bo)物館之(zhi)后再(zai)一(yi)次遷(qian)出(chu)普度寺。
北京三品美術館

寺院概貌
全寺建(jian)于(yu)磚砌高(gao)臺(tai)上(shang),平均高(gao)約3米(mi),周圍建(jian)宇(yu)墻,此(ci)臺(tai)即是明重華(hua)宮(gong)寢宮(gong)部分的基(ji)座(zuo)。磚臺(tai)正(zheng)中有臺(tai)階(jie),正(zheng)對(dui)山門(men)(men)。山門(men)(men)面闊三(san)間(jian),進深(shen)七檁(lin),大(da)式(shi)硬山頂,綠琉(liu)(liu)璃瓦,調大(da)脊(ji),安吻獸,墻體刷紅。正(zheng)面明間(jian)辟(pi)白石(shi)拱(gong)門(men)(men),兩次間(jian)為裝飾(shi)性白石(shi)拱(gong)窗(chuang),石(shi)雕仿木菱花扇;背面出廊,金(jin)步(bu)明間(jian)裝板(ban)門(men)(men),兩次間(jian)白石(shi)券窗(chuang)同正(zheng)面。室(shi)內彩畫保(bao)存良好(hao),為金(jin)龍和璽式(shi),等級甚(shen)高(gao),應是睿親王(wang)(wang)府(fu)時(shi)期遺物。但(dan)建(jian)筑形(xing)制為佛寺山門(men)(men),屋頂琉(liu)(liu)璃等級高(gao)于(yu)正(zheng)殿(dian),可能(neng)是王(wang)(wang)府(fu)改為佛寺后,對(dui)外觀進行了改動。
正殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(慈濟殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian))建(jian)于石須彌(mi)座(zuo)上,但殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)身(shen)并未占(zhan)滿全(quan)(quan)座(zuo),座(zuo)之比例及(ji)雕刻均有(you)明代特征,可(ke)(ke)證(zheng)此(ci)座(zuo)仍是(shi)明重華宮(gong)寢殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)原(yuan)有(you)臺基,后(hou)建(jian)大(da)殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)縮小了規(gui)模。殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)身(shen)面闊七間,進(jin)深(shen)三間,前(qian)出(chu)(chu)(chu)抱(bao)廈面闊三間,進(jin)深(shen)一間,全(quan)(quan)殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)外加(jia)周圍廊。主殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)單(dan)檐歇山(shan)(shan)頂,調(diao)大(da)脊(ji),安吻(wen)獸,削(xue)割瓦綠琉璃剪邊;抱(bao)廈卷棚歇山(shan)(shan)頂,綠琉璃瓦黃剪邊。全(quan)(quan)殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)廊內砌磚(zhuan)墻,正面、山(shan)(shan)面開(kai)大(da)支(zhi)窗,下肩飾(shi)六(liu)方(fang)綠琉璃磚(zhuan)。殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)內東部隔出(chu)(chu)(chu)二間內室(shi)。外檐出(chu)(chu)(chu)檐為(wei)三層(ceng)椽,無斗栱,在柱頭裝(zhuang)飾(shi)獸面木雕,雀替形式特殊,室(shi)內彩畫還有(you)不少博古題(ti)材,整(zheng)個建(jian)筑具有(you)明顯(xian)的(de)關外滿族宮(gong)室(shi)特征,可(ke)(ke)斷定(ding)此(ci)殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)是(shi)順治初(chu)年新建(jian)的(de)王府大(da)殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian),抱(bao)廈用(yong)(yong)瓦等(deng)級高于主殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian),可(ke)(ke)能(neng)是(shi)乾隆(long)時(shi)新加(jia)。抱(bao)廈內東南角(jiao)有(you)一石砌圓(yuan)坑,直徑4.8米,深(shen)1.5米左右,北面有(you)石階可(ke)(ke)下至坑底。坑口周邊有(you)八組石雕圖案,雕刻水波神仙(xian)怪(guai)獸,其(qi)用(yong)(yong)途(tu)(tu)及(ji)雕刻題(ti)材尚待考(kao)證(zheng)。但如(ru)果抱(bao)廈為(wei)后(hou)建(jian),則此(ci)石坑原(yuan)在室(shi)外,其(qi)用(yong)(yong)途(tu)(tu)可(ke)(ke)能(neng)是(shi)滿族薩滿祭祀的(de)設(she)施。大(da)殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)之西尚存方(fang)丈(zhang)院北房五間,七檁(lin)前(qian)出(chu)(chu)(chu)廊,硬山(shan)(shan)筒瓦過(guo)壟脊(ji)。
