五代后晉開運二(er)年(945年)創建。
陀羅尼經幢(chuang)用青石雕刻對(dui)接而成(cheng),由座、身、剎(cha)三(san)部(bu)分組(zu)成(cheng),八樓七級,通高(gao)6米,壯若石塔;基(ji)部(bu)刻有(you)(you)舞獅,柱頂八角盤(pan)上(shang)刻有(you)(you)伎樂(le)人;第四節龍柱上(shang)刻有(you)(you)樓臺和(he)侍(shi)女等。 陀羅尼經幢(chuang)刀法嫻熟,刻工精湛,具(ju)有(you)(you)較高(gao)的(de)藝(yi)術價值。
基(ji)座上(shang)刻(ke)有(you)(you)舞(wu)獅。幢(chuang)(chuang)(chuang)身(shen)最下一節(jie)(jie)刻(ke)《陀羅尼(ni)經》,楷書。幢(chuang)(chuang)(chuang)頂八角盤上(shang)刻(ke)伎樂人(ren)(ren)、飛天和人(ren)(ren)面(mian)獸(shou)身(shen)的舞(wu)蹈(dao)形象(xiang)。第(di)四節(jie)(jie)幢(chuang)(chuang)(chuang)身(shen)上(shang)刻(ke)樓臺(tai)亭閣和仕女,再上(shang)兩節(jie)(jie)雕有(you)(you)一佛、二弟(di)子,最上(shang)為葫蘆形剎。所(suo)有(you)(you)雕刻(ke),形象(xiang)生動,刀法嫻熟,工(gong)藝精湛,有(you)(you)較(jiao)高的藝術(shu)價值。后晉在中國歷史上(shang)是個短命的封(feng)建王朝,其石刻(ke)藝術(shu)存世極(ji)少,故此幢(chuang)(chuang)(chuang)十分珍(zhen)貴。
該幢(chuang)原立于(yu)室外,后來衛輝賓館在其(qi)原處建造大廳,使其(qi)置(zhi)于(yu)大廳之(zhi)內,方才(cai)避免了日曬風吹(chui)帶來的損傷(shang)。
寧(ning)境(jing)寺(si)(si)原名(ming)為(wei)(wei)寧(ning)靜(jing)(jing)院(yuan)(yuan),五代后晉開運二(er)(er)(er)年(nian)(nian)(nian)(公(gong)(gong)元(yuan)(yuan)945年(nian)(nian)(nian))開始建(jian)(jian)造。宋代時寧(ning)境(jing)院(yuan)(yuan)曾(ceng)得以保(bao)留。元(yuan)(yuan)至正(zheng)二(er)(er)(er)十八年(nian)(nian)(nian)(公(gong)(gong)元(yuan)(yuan)1368年(nian)(nian)(nian))七月(yue),明(ming)朝(chao)大將(jiang)徐達(da)、副(fu)將(jiang)軍常遇春,征伐河北之軍,攻占衛輝(hui)后,寧(ning)靜(jing)(jing)院(yuan)(yuan)一度毀(hui)于戰火之中。明(ming)王朝(chao)建(jian)(jian)立(li)后,洪武二(er)(er)(er)十三年(nian)(nian)(nian)(公(gong)(gong)元(yuan)(yuan)1390年(nian)(nian)(nian))寧(ning)靜(jing)(jing)院(yuan)(yuan)在(zai)舊(jiu)墟上(shang)被重新修(xiu)起,并(bing)將(jiang)院(yuan)(yuan)改(gai)為(wei)(wei)寺(si)(si),同時置(zhi)(zhi)僧綱司,明(ming)正(zheng)德七年(nian)(nian)(nian)(公(gong)(gong)元(yuan)(yuan)1512年(nian)(nian)(nian)),嘉靖二(er)(er)(er)十五年(nian)(nian)(nian)(公(gong)(gong)元(yuan)(yuan)1546年(nian)(nian)(nian)),當時衛輝(hui)府又(you)分別(bie)翻修(xiu)和重建(jian)(jian)了(le)寧(ning)境(jing)寺(si)(si),寧(ning)境(jing)寺(si)(si)在(zai)原有規律的基礎上(shang)再(zai)次得到(dao)了(le)擴(kuo)大。清軍入關后,清王朝(chao)為(wei)(wei)了(le)麻木和禁(jin)錮人們的反清思(si)想,除加以保(bao)護寺(si)(si)院(yuan)(yuan)外,并(bing)且仍(reng)置(zhi)(zhi)僧綱司。清朝(chao)滅亡(wang)后,寧(ning)境(jing)寺(si)(si)又(you)再(zai)度毀(hui)于戰火和人為(wei)(wei)毀(hui)壞之中。現(xian)其它建(jian)(jian)筑已不復存在(zai),獨石刻(ke)陀羅(luo)尼經幢完整遺留了(le)下來。
陀羅尼經幢,現存整座建筑高6.50米,由幢座、幢身及幢頂三(san)部分構成。
幢(chuang)的(de)基座分為(wei)(wei)(wei)二層(ceng),底(di)(di)層(ceng)是直徑為(wei)(wei)(wei)1.50米的(de)須彌(mi)座,總(zong)高(gao)為(wei)(wei)(wei)1.80米,底(di)(di)層(ceng)須彌(mi)座的(de)下枋(fang)為(wei)(wei)(wei)方形(xing),下梟雕(diao)有十(shi)六瓣(ban)(ban)覆蓮裝飾,中間束(shu)腰部(bu)分為(wei)(wei)(wei)八(ba)角形(xing)柱體,上(shang)枋(fang)雕(diao)成十(shi)五瓣(ban)(ban)蓮花形(xing)狀。上(shang)層(ceng)須彌(mi)座的(de)束(shu)腰部(bu)分也為(wei)(wei)(wei)八(ba)角形(xing)柱體,與底(di)(di)層(ceng)中間束(shu)腰部(bu)分一樣,八(ba)個(ge)角上(shang)各雕(diao)有壺門一個(ge),內有雕(diao)像(xiang)一尊,似為(wei)(wei)(wei)使(shi)樂(le)人(ren)。再上(shang)枋(fang)為(wei)(wei)(wei)八(ba)角形(xing),上(shang)雕(diao)覆蓮。
幢身(shen)系上(shang)細(xi)下粗的八(ba)棱柱體,高1.70米(mi),上(shang)部每面(mian)闊(kuo)0.20米(mi),直徑(jing)0.46米(mi),下部每面(mian)闊(kuo)0.22米(mi),直徑(jing)0.52米(mi)。它的八(ba)面(mian)皆刻(ke)有陀(tuo)羅尼(ni)經(jing)(jing)文。在幢身(shen)的正面(mian)(南面(mian))首(shou)行(xing)楷書陰刻(ke)“佛頂尊勝陀(tuo)羅尼(ni)經(jing)(jing)序(xu)”九個大字(zi)(zi)。從(cong)(cong)第二(er)行(xing)開始刻(ke)經(jing)(jing)序(xu),每面(mian)刻(ke)九行(xing),足(zu)行(xing)一百一十五字(zi)(zi),最(zui)后一面(mian)尾行(xing)刻(ke)“□晉開運二(er)年(nian)歲在□已二(er)月二(er)十九日丙□”。從(cong)(cong)而(er)證實(shi)了該(gai)經(jing)(jing)幢的建造時(shi)間為后晉開運二(er)年(nian)(公元945年(nian))。
幢(chuang)頂部(bu)(bu)(bu)可(ke)分(fen)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)七(qi)層(ceng)(ceng),總高3.88米。第(di)一(yi)層(ceng)(ceng),接幢(chuang)身之(zhi)上(shang)(shang),可(ke)分(fen)兩面(mian)(mian)部(bu)(bu)(bu)分(fen)。下(xia)部(bu)(bu)(bu)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)圓柱(zhu)狀(zhuang),環(huan)刻(ke)(ke)(ke)淺浮(fu)雕(diao)(diao)圖(tu)案(an)。上(shang)(shang)部(bu)(bu)(bu)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)一(yi)八(ba)角(jiao)(jiao)形(xing)(xing)(xing)寶(bao)蓋。第(di)二層(ceng)(ceng)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)一(yi)圓柱(zhu)體(ti)(ti)。繞(rao)柱(zhu)雕(diao)(diao)有(you)(you)五(wu)條盤龍(long),南(nan)面(mian)(mian)正(zheng)中(zhong)開一(yi)尖拱(gong)形(xing)(xing)(xing)小(xiao)(xiao)龕,龕內所雕(diao)(diao)坐佛(fo)造(zao)像,已(yi)不存在。第(di)三(san)層(ceng)(ceng)分(fen)上(shang)(shang)、下(xia)兩部(bu)(bu)(bu)分(fen)。下(xia)部(bu)(bu)(bu)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)八(ba)角(jiao)(jiao)形(xing)(xing)(xing)體(ti)(ti),底部(bu)(bu)(bu)有(you)(you)八(ba)個斜(xie)面(mian)(mian),上(shang)(shang)雕(diao)(diao)八(ba)個飛(fei)人正(zheng)凌空飛(fei)舞,衣帶飄揚。上(shang)(shang)部(bu)(bu)(bu)分(fen)圓形(xing)(xing)(xing),繞(rao)四(si)周雕(diao)(diao)刻(ke)(ke)(ke)有(you)(you)四(si)組建筑(zhu),四(si)組建筑(zhu)之(zhi)間(jian)用以回廊聯結(jie)。第(di)四(si)層(ceng)(ceng)可(ke)分(fen)三(san)部(bu)(bu)(bu)分(fen)。下(xia)部(bu)(bu)(bu)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)一(yi)圓形(xing)(xing)(xing)仰蓮小(xiao)(xiao)座、中(zhong)部(bu)(bu)(bu)分(fen)方(fang)形(xing)(xing)(xing)柱(zhu)體(ti)(ti),四(si)面(mian)(mian)均有(you)(you)雕(diao)(diao)像一(yi)鋪(pu)。上(shang)(shang)面(mian)(mian)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)圓形(xing)(xing)(xing)仰蓮狀(zhuang)小(xiao)(xiao)蓋。第(di)五(wu)層(ceng)(ceng)有(you)(you)三(san)部(bu)(bu)(bu)分(fen)組成(cheng)。下(xia)部(bu)(bu)(bu)分(fen)圓柱(zhu)體(ti)(ti),繞(rao)圓柱(zhu)淺浮(fu)雕(diao)(diao)有(you)(you)六組獅首銜環(huan),之(zhi)間(jian)有(you)(you)纓絡(luo)聯結(jie)。中(zhong)部(bu)(bu)(bu)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)八(ba)角(jiao)(jiao)形(xing)(xing)(xing)柱(zhu)體(ti)(ti),每隔一(yi)面(mian)(mian)刻(ke)(ke)(ke)有(you)(you)長方(fang)形(xing)(xing)(xing)淺龕,龕內各(ge)雕(diao)(diao)有(you)(you)一(yi)力士(shi)像,在素面(mian)(mian)上(shang)(shang)刻(ke)(ke)(ke)有(you)(you)楷書(shu)文字,但多已(yi)漫漶(huan),中(zhong)部(bu)(bu)(bu)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)一(yi)八(ba)角(jiao)(jiao)形(xing)(xing)(xing)屋頂狀(zhuang)寶(bao)蓋,在八(ba)棱(leng)體(ti)(ti)的截面(mian)(mian)上(shang)(shang)刻(ke)(ke)(ke)有(you)(you)“回”形(xing)(xing)(xing)圖(tu)案(an),頂部(bu)(bu)(bu)每面(mian)(mian)雕(diao)(diao)有(you)(you)瓦(wa)垅(long)七(qi)行(xing),檐下(xia)刻(ke)(ke)(ke)有(you)(you)角(jiao)(jiao)梁(liang),飛(fei)檐,刻(ke)(ke)(ke)工(gong)精細,比(bi)例協(xie)調。第(di)六層(ceng)(ceng)也有(you)(you)三(san)部(bu)(bu)(bu)分(fen)組成(cheng)。下(xia)部(bu)(bu)(bu)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)雕(diao)(diao)刻(ke)(ke)(ke)的多層(ceng)(ceng)仰蓮圖(tu)案(an),中(zhong)部(bu)(bu)(bu)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)一(yi)風(feng)化的柱(zhu)體(ti)(ti),上(shang)(shang)部(bu)(bu)(bu)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)圓形(xing)(xing)(xing)寶(bao)蓋,在寶(bao)蓋的邊(bian)緣鑿有(you)(you)八(ba)個圓形(xing)(xing)(xing)小(xiao)(xiao)瓦(wa),似是掛風(feng)鐸而(er)致。繞(rao)圓雕(diao)(diao)有(you)(you)帷幔形(xing)(xing)(xing)狀(zhuang)淺浮(fu)雕(diao)(diao),第(di)七(qi)層(ceng)(ceng)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)一(yi)完整的葫蘆形(xing)(xing)(xing)寶(bao)珠。
作為(wei)(wei)(wei)經(jing)幢(chuang)(chuang)建造的(de)(de)起始,是自(zi)唐(tang)代以(yi)后建造之風(feng)才開始盛行。有為(wei)(wei)(wei)功德(de)鐫(juan)造的(de)(de)陀羅尼經(jing)幢(chuang)(chuang),也有為(wei)(wei)(wei)紀忥(xi)僧德(de)的(de)(de)墓(mu)幢(chuang)(chuang),而五代之后晉國祚非常短促,與歷代相比(bi),只能(neng)稱得上(shang)是曇花一現,因此所留遺(yi)(yi)物(wu)少(shao)之甚少(shao)。衛輝之陀羅尼經(jing)幢(chuang)(chuang),承唐(tang)代經(jing)幢(chuang)(chuang)之衣缽,啟宋(song)代經(jing)幢(chuang)(chuang)之先風(feng)。整(zheng)個(ge)經(jing)幢(chuang)(chuang)布局嚴(yan)謹,人(ren)物(wu)造像(xiang)逼真,真實地(di)展現了(le)當時的(de)(de)佛教(jiao)文化。它(ta)巧妙地(di)使用高(gao)浮(fu)雕,淺(qian)浮(fu)雕、圓浮(fu)雕相結合的(de)(de)手法,完(wan)整(zheng)地(di)體現了(le)當時的(de)(de)雕造技術,堪(kan)稱極佳的(de)(de)石刻藝術品,而它(ta)作為(wei)(wei)(wei)一個(ge)時期——五代之后晉遺(yi)(yi)物(wu)的(de)(de)完(wan)整(zheng)保(bao)存,就(jiu)顯得更為(wei)(wei)(wei)彌足珍貴。
2013年入(ru)選(xuan)第七批全國(guo)重點文物保(bao)護單位。
