現(xian)有教(jiao)(jiao)職工(gong)(gong)(gong)450人,其中正高(gao)級(ji)教(jiao)(jiao)師(shi)(shi)1人,高(gao)級(ji)教(jiao)(jiao)師(shi)(shi)136人,研究生以上學(xue)歷30余(yu)人,教(jiao)(jiao)師(shi)(shi)學(xue)歷達標率(lv)100%。學(xue)校(xiao)加強師(shi)(shi)資管(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)理(li),堅持從嚴治教(jiao)(jiao),做到管(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)理(li)規范。堅持推行(xing)教(jiao)(jiao)職工(gong)(gong)(gong)考(kao)核、考(kao)勤(qin)等各(ge)(ge)項規章制度。學(xue)校(xiao)加強計(ji)(ji)劃管(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)理(li),以處(chu)、室(shi)、教(jiao)(jiao)研組(zu)為(wei)單位(wei),圍繞學(xue)校(xiao)總(zong)(zong)的(de)(de)工(gong)(gong)(gong)作(zuo)計(ji)(ji)劃,結合各(ge)(ge)單位(wei)實際,做出工(gong)(gong)(gong)作(zuo)打算,存(cun)入教(jiao)(jiao)師(shi)(shi)個人檔案。學(xue)校(xiao)將(jiang)總(zong)(zong)體目標進行(xing)分(fen)解,使(shi)各(ge)(ge)處(chu)室(shi)、各(ge)(ge)教(jiao)(jiao)研組(zu)、各(ge)(ge)年級(ji)明確(que)自己(ji)的(de)(de)工(gong)(gong)(gong)作(zuo)指標,并組(zu)織實施(shi)。學(xue)校(xiao)加強定(ding)期(qi)和不(bu)定(ding)期(qi)的(de)(de)信(xin)息(xi)(xi)管(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)理(li)。定(ding)期(qi)信(xin)息(xi)(xi)管(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)理(li)包(bao)括(kuo)(kuo)各(ge)(ge)處(chu)室(shi)、教(jiao)(jiao)研組(zu)每(mei)月的(de)(de)考(kao)勤(qin),各(ge)(ge)學(xue)科(ke)期(qi)中、期(qi)末考(kao)試等;不(bu)定(ding)期(qi)信(xin)息(xi)(xi)管(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)理(li)包(bao)括(kuo)(kuo)各(ge)(ge)分(fen)管(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)領(ling)導的(de)(de)聽(ting)課(ke)評課(ke)、教(jiao)(jiao)案檢查,各(ge)(ge)年級(ji)的(de)(de)學(xue)生、家長問卷調查等。學(xue)校(xiao)加強成果(guo)評價,本著以精神激勵(li)(li)為(wei)主、物質獎勵(li)(li)為(wei)輔的(de)(de)原(yuan)則(ze),推行(xing)針對每(mei)一個教(jiao)(jiao)師(shi)(shi)方(fang)(fang)方(fang)(fang)面面的(de)(de)成果(guo)管(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)理(li)辦法,包(bao)括(kuo)(kuo)教(jiao)(jiao)學(xue)質量、教(jiao)(jiao)育教(jiao)(jiao)學(xue)論文、班級(ji)管(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)理(li)考(kao)核、各(ge)(ge)類競賽(sai)、考(kao)勤(qin)等多項考(kao)評和獎勵(li)(li)措施(shi)。
學(xue)校精(jing)心培養新教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)師(shi)(shi)和(he)(he)青年教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)師(shi)(shi),始終按照“政治上愛護,工(gong)(gong)作上扶持(chi),生活上關心”和(he)(he)“教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)育與管(guan)理并(bing)行,培養與使(shi)用(yong)兼顧”的(de)(de)工(gong)(gong)作思(si)路,推(tui)行《煙臺三中青年教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)師(shi)(shi)培養工(gong)(gong)作實(shi)施方(fang)案》。學(xue)校通(tong)(tong)過聽(ting)課、評課、觀摩教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)學(xue)、輔導講(jiang)座等形式,采取與老教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)師(shi)(shi)結對子(zi)、兩筆(bi)字考(kao)評、總結表彰等措施,提高(gao)他們的(de)(de)業務(wu)能力(li)和(he)(he)教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)學(xue)水(shui)平。同時,對于師(shi)(shi)德好(hao)、業務(wu)精(jing)的(de)(de)青年教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)師(shi)(shi)大膽(dan)使(shi)用(yong),通(tong)(tong)過安排其擔任(ren)教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)研(yan)組長、班主任(ren)和(he)(he)獨(du)立(li)承擔優(you)質課、教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)改實(shi)驗課題(ti)等,促使(shi)其自我加壓(ya),盡快成長成熟(shu)。

校(xiao)、全國體育傳統項目先(xian)進學(xue)校(xiao)、山東省(sheng)教(jiao)書(shu)育人先(xian)進集體、山東省(sheng)電化教(jiao)育示范學(xue)校(xiao)、山東省(sheng)科(ke)普示范學(xue)校(xiao)、山東省(sheng)奧(ao)林匹克(ke)競賽金(jin)牌學(xue)校(xiao)、煙臺(tai)市(shi)優生(sheng)培養先(xian)進高中、煙臺(tai)市(shi)明星(xing)學(xue)校(xiao)等。原國務院副(fu)總理(li)李嵐(lan)清視察三中時曾說(shuo):“這里是(shi)個讀書(shu)的(de)好地方”。
煙臺三中這顆膠東半島的(de)璀璨(can)明(ming)珠(zhu),以(yi)美麗的(de)校園、良好的(de)校風、有序(xu)的(de)管理、上乘的(de)質量贏得(de)了社(she)會各(ge)界人(ren)士的(de)贊譽(yu)。
在郭宏成校(xiao)(xiao)長(chang)多年(nian)的正確(que)領導下,復色陽光教(jiao)(jiao)育蒸蒸日上,德智體全面發展已經(jing)成為全校(xiao)(xiao)師生的發展方向,我(wo)校(xiao)(xiao)越來越重視同學(xue)(xue)思想覺(jue)(jue)悟和優勢的發揚(yang),并有孫洪財,常春燕,吳愛(ai)清,黃(huang)孔(kong)娥,李立(li)秋等(deng)一大(da)批(pi)優秀教(jiao)(jiao)師的帶領,學(xue)(xue)生思想覺(jue)(jue)悟及道德素養都在較高的水平。
煙(yan)臺第三(san)中學正式命(ming)名于(yu)1952年9月(yue)12日。原(yuan)校址(zhi)在煙(yan)臺山(shan)(shan)東側海岸路26號(hao)(現煙(yan)臺山(shan)(shan)賓館院內)。
1954年(nian),為發展中學(xue)教育(yu),煙(yan)臺市人民政府決定(ding)擴建三(san)(san)中校舍,在大海陽河西邊建立了(le)(le)煙(yan)臺三(san)(san)中新校舍。三(san)(san)中由(you)煙(yan)臺山遷入新校舍。由(you)此,三(san)(san)中成(cheng)為一所完全中學(xue)。 多年(nian)來,學(xue)校制定(ding)了(le)(le)整(zheng)體發展目(mu)標(biao)和各(ge)職能部門的(de)(de)質量目(mu)標(biao),以目(mu)標(biao)管理(li)來調動教職員工各(ge)項(xiang)工作(zuo)的(de)(de)積極性。同(tong)年(nian),學(xue)校制定(ding)了(le)(le)“三(san)(san)五(wu)(wu)”規(gui)劃(hua),即用三(san)(san)個(ge)五(wu)(wu)年(nian)時間,躋(ji)身于(yu)區(qu)、市、省(sheng)一流學(xue)校的(de)(de)行列。在第一個(ge)五(wu)(wu)年(nian)規(gui)劃(hua)期間,學(xue)校實現了(le)(le)創全區(qu)一流學(xue)校的(de)(de)整(zheng)體目(mu)標(biao)。
1993年4月,學校被山東省(sheng)教育廳命(ming)名為首批省(sheng)級規范化學校,基本上實現了省(sheng)、市、區一(yi)流學校的目標。
1994年12月(yue),學(xue)(xue)校(xiao)把創辦(ban)現代化的學(xue)(xue)校(xiao)當作頭等大事來抓。學(xue)(xue)校(xiao)集資(zi)50萬,在全市率先為(wei)學(xue)(xue)校(xiao)的高中班建(jian)成一套現代化的雙向閉路電(dian)(dian)視(shi)系統,每個教(jiao)(jiao)室(shi)(shi)配有一部彩電(dian)(dian),一部攝像機,為(wei)現代化教(jiao)(jiao)學(xue)(xue)奠定(ding)了基礎(chu)。之后(hou)學(xue)(xue)校(xiao)又相(xiang)繼興建(jian)了新的辦(ban)公(gong)樓(lou)(lou)、實驗(yan)樓(lou)(lou)、教(jiao)(jiao)學(xue)(xue)樓(lou)(lou)、圖書科技樓(lou)(lou)、學(xue)(xue)生公(gong)寓、市內體育(yu)館、塑膠田(tian)徑操場等,這以后(hou)又建(jian)起(qi)了微機室(shi)(shi)、語音室(shi)(shi)、電(dian)(dian)教(jiao)(jiao)室(shi)(shi)、電(dian)(dian)教(jiao)(jiao)備課(ke)室(shi)(shi)、校(xiao)長辦(ban)公(gong)自(zi)動化系統。同年3月(yue)我校(xiao)被國(guo)家(jia)教(jiao)(jiao)育(yu)部評為(wei)2000年現代教(jiao)(jiao)育(yu)技術實驗(yan)學(xue)(xue)校(xiao)。隨著教(jiao)(jiao)育(yu)形式的發展,我校(xiao)又投入(ru)大量資(zi)金創辦(ban)了校(xiao)園(yuan)網絡(luo)中心、校(xiao)園(yuan)網站(zhan)、校(xiao)園(yuan)電(dian)(dian)視(shi)演(yan)播室(shi)(shi)。
2001年 2001年,學校(xiao)在(zai)原四職(zhi)專校(xiao)址設立分校(xiao)。實行全(quan)日制寄(ji)宿式(shi)封閉管理,教(jiao)師與(yu)學生“同(tong)吃、同(tong)住、同(tong)學習、同(tong)生活(huo)”。至此,三(san)中已(yi)成為(wei)全(quan)市一流、設施先進、環境優(you)美、管理完(wan)善的完(wan)全(quan)中學。
2012年,學校成(cheng)功舉(ju)辦60年校慶,在社會上(shang)引起(qi)強烈反響。
2015年(nian),搬遷(qian)至新校區。
