成長歷史

這個以(yi)戴白面具(ju)、白手套和棒(bang)球帽著稱的舞團，在2003年(nian)(nian)成立(li)於(wu)San Diego（圣迭戈)，團名典故源於(wu)「愛麗斯夢游仙境之鏡中奇緣]Alice in wonderland的詩 。他們最初多(duo)半在SD和LA演出，2007年(nian)(nian)參加America's Got Talent第(di)二季的比賽后，知名度大增，2008年(nian)(nian)在America's Best Dance Crew以(yi)銳不可擋的氣(qi)勢奪下首季冠(guan)軍。

假(jia)面(mian)舞客這一(yi)團(tuan)隊創立(li)初(chu)衷是(shi)(shi)一(yi)群朋友想要(yao)展(zhan)示自由風的(de)舞蹈(dao)(dao)。在那(nei)(nei)個時代Hip-Hop風盛行，然而到處(chu)都(dou)是(shi)(shi)一(yi)些(xie)風格(ge)相同(tong)的(de)舞蹈(dao)(dao)團(tuan)隊，那(nei)(nei)些(xie)舞蹈(dao)(dao)者所表(biao)現(xian)的(de)舞蹈(dao)(dao)就像是(shi)(shi)克隆過一(yi)樣。“舞蹈(dao)(dao)為(wei)了(le)跟隨音樂的(de)節奏”和“舞蹈(dao)(dao)作為(wei)藝術表(biao)現(xian)形式”兩(liang)者之間失(shi)去(qu)了(le)平衡(heng)。因此就有(you)了(le)假(jia)面(mian)舞客的(de)誕生。

經由《美國偶(ou)像 American Idol》評委(wei)Randy Jackson打造(zao)的《Randy Jackson Present America’s Best Dance Crew》結束了第一(yi)季的比(bi)賽，也誕生(sheng)了第一(yi)只美國最棒的舞蹈團隊(dui)，這支(zhi)團隊(dui)就(jiu)是JabbaWockeeZ。

JABBA早期是11個(ge)人(ren)，ABDC當時的(de)(de)(de)比賽要(yao)求人(ren)數不(bu)能多(duo)于7個(ge)，他(ta)(ta)(ta)們(men)決(jue)定讓(rang)Gary，Phi，Rainen，Joe，Phil，KB，Chris7個(ge)人(ren)參賽，但是Gary Kendell因肺炎去(qu)世(shi)了(le)(le)(le)，他(ta)(ta)(ta)們(men)為了(le)(le)(le)保留Gary的(de)(de)(de)位(wei)置，把參賽人(ren)數定為6人(ren)，后來Joe的(de)(de)(de)腳(jiao)踝(huai)受傷了(le)(le)(le)，于是Ben代替他(ta)(ta)(ta)參賽，所以到ABDC的(de)(de)(de)時候是他(ta)(ta)(ta)們(men)6個(ge)人(ren)。他(ta)(ta)(ta)們(men)有些舞(wu)蹈中無論開頭還是結束(shu)都(dou)有指(zhi)向天的(de)(de)(de)動(dong)作，那(nei)是為了(le)(le)(le)紀念逝去(qu)的(de)(de)(de)隊友。他(ta)(ta)(ta)們(men)的(de)(de)(de)舞(wu)蹈表演人(ren)數因場(chang)地和(he)要(yao)求不(bu)斷改變。Jabbawockeez每個(ge)成員都(dou)有不(bu)同(tong)的(de)(de)(de)舞(wu)蹈風格和(he)生活背景，這為整個(ge)團(tuan)隊帶(dai)來了(le)(le)(le)多(duo)元化的(de)(de)(de)風格和(he)觀點(dian)。

特色

在ABDC比賽期(qi)間，評審Lil Mama毫不(bu)避諱地多次表示她超挺JabbaWockeeZ，Lil Mama對JabbaWockeeZ的評論是：「每次表演時(shi)，雖然你們(men)的腳步踩(cai)得超穩(wen)，但(dan)是手部動作卻異(yi)常優雅(ya)，這(zhe)是你們(men)與眾不(bu)同的特點，也是我愛JabbaWockeeZ的原因。」

假面舞(wu)客這個創意(yi)來(lai)自于Joseph Larot, Kevin Brewer和(he)Phil Tayag三個人。

成員

當時整個(ge)團隊還(huan)包(bao)括另外五位(wei)成員，他們共同創造了(le)假面舞客的特(te)殊風(feng)格。

這(zhe)五位成員分(fen)別是：Randy Bernal, Ryan Ellis, Chris Gatdula, Gary Kendell, Rainen Paguio。

2004年(nian)，假(jia)面舞客的成(cheng)員人(ren)數又增(zeng)加到了11個。

所增加的那四(si)位成員分別為：Ben Chung, Eddie Gutierrez, Saso Jimenez和Jeff "Phi” Nguyen。

舞者花絮

BEN CHUNG AKA 'B-TEK'在2002年自(zi)UC Irvine畢業，他(ta)也(ye)曾是Kaba Modern的(de)舞。

JabbaWockeeZ在(zai)(zai)參(can)加ABDC之(zhi)前甫遇團(tuan)員不幸逝世(shi)之(zhi)慟。他們(men)在(zai)(zai)audition時便提到(dao)，他們(men)希望(wang)為逝世(shi)的團(tuan)員拿下冠軍，所以他們(men)每次表演(yan)或(huo)謝幕時常(chang)指著上方，象徵心(xin)永(yong)遠同在(zai)(zai)。

The group gained fame by appearing on America's Got Talent before winning the MTV hip hop dance reality series America's Best Dance Crew on March 27, 2008. The crew has won $100,000 and a touring contract after being crowned as America's Best Dance Crew in season one. The crew is known for wearing plain white masks and gloves and performing synchronized dance moves. Their name is derived from the Lewis Carroll poem Jabberwocky (featured in Alice's Adventures in Wonderland).

Originally the group that was going to compete on America's Best Dance Crew had seven members, including the late Gary Kendell. Unfortunately, Kendell passed away shortly before the group's start on the show America's Best Dance Crew due to pneumonia. The six JabbaWockeeZ members on the show told the judges during the Live Auditions Special that Gary was the "Yoda" of their crew and that they were doing the show for him. They have stated, "As a tribute to him we point our fingers in the air after each performance
