明朱砂荷(he)魚澄泥硯是典藏于天津博物館的一件(jian)明代文房用具。
澄泥(ni)(ni)(ni)(ni)(ni)硯(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan),與(yu)端硯(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)、歙硯(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)、洮硯(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)并稱(cheng)為我(wo)國四大(da)名硯(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan),以(yi)其(qi)質地(di)細膩(ni)、色(se)澤多(duo)變、發墨(mo)如油(you)、不損筆毫而頗受歷代文人雅士(shi)的(de)(de)推崇。用澄泥(ni)(ni)(ni)(ni)(ni)制(zhi)(zhi)硯(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan),起于唐代,是以(yi)經過(guo)濾洗的(de)(de)細泥(ni)(ni)(ni)(ni)(ni)加(jia)入添(tian)(tian)加(jia)劑燒制(zhi)(zhi)而成(cheng),使(shi)用起來(lai)不亞(ya)于石。明代是澄泥(ni)(ni)(ni)(ni)(ni)硯(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)發展的(de)(de)成(cheng)熟階(jie)段,在制(zhi)(zhi)作、雕刻方面均(jun)有(you)極大(da)的(de)(de)飛躍。由于燒造技術的(de)(de)進步(bu)以(yi)及添(tian)(tian)加(jia)劑品(pin)類的(de)(de)創(chuang)新,著色(se)技術已到達爐(lu)火純青的(de)(de)程度,工(gong)匠們得以(yi)燒制(zhi)(zhi)出五彩繽紛的(de)(de)澄泥(ni)(ni)(ni)(ni)(ni)硯(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)。朱(zhu)砂澄泥(ni)(ni)(ni)(ni)(ni)即(ji)初見于此時,泥(ni)(ni)(ni)(ni)(ni)赤如朱(zhu),鮮艷奪目。《硯(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)小史》有(you)云(yun):“澄泥(ni)(ni)(ni)(ni)(ni)之(zhi)最上者為鱔魚(yu)黃(huang),其(qi)次(ci)為綠豆砂,又(you)次(ci)為玫(mei)瑰紫(zi)……然不若(ruo)朱(zhu)砂澄泥(ni)(ni)(ni)(ni)(ni)之(zhi)尤妙。”可見,朱(zhu)砂澄泥(ni)(ni)(ni)(ni)(ni)堪稱(cheng)澄泥(ni)(ni)(ni)(ni)(ni)硯(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)中的(de)(de)稀世(shi)之(zhi)珍。
天津(jin)博物館“耀世奇珍”館藏精品展中陳列有(you)一方“明代(dai)(dai)荷(he)(he)魚朱(zhu)砂澄泥硯”,在燒造(zao)(zao)工藝(yi)和雕(diao)琢構思上(shang)皆有(you)獨到之處。此(ci)硯長24厘米,寬15.4厘米,高2.2厘米,作(zuo)魚形硯身(shen),呈朱(zhu)紅(hong)色,泥質細膩,色澤鮮艷。硯背襯以荷(he)(he)葉(xie),荷(he)(he)葉(xie)及魚周于(yu)燒制前(qian)均著黑(hei)色,黑(hei)紅(hong)相映(ying),荷(he)(he)魚交輝,濃艷與沉(chen)著相得益彰。可謂造(zao)(zao)型生動活潑,雕(diao)刻(ke)精細傳神(shen),線(xian)條流暢自然,色彩鮮麗華美,技法高超,巧奪天工,是(shi)極(ji)為稀見的(de)古代(dai)(dai)文房(fang)藝(yi)術精品。
此(ci)方(fang)硯臺(tai)不僅閃耀著古人燦爛(lan)的藝術光輝,而且(qie)所蘊(yun)含的文化信息也頗(po)值(zhi)得回(hui)味。硯作魚形(xing),與“余(yu)”諧音,荷魚相配,寓(yu)意連年(nian)有(you)余(yu),吉祥富貴(gui)。硯背上方(fang)隸書(shu):“給諫公賞”;中間(jian)另刻楷(kai)書(shu)小字(zi)銘(ming)(ming):“離塵垢 伴(ban)文人 腹中書(shu)滿 同(tong)上龍門。”落款“宋(song)(song)(song)開(kai)蕤”;下方(fang)刻有(you)銘(ming)(ming)文兩行:“初(chu)頤園(yuan)大司馬贈宋(song)(song)(song)開(kai)萊(lai)藏(zang)”。“諫公”乃(nai)宋(song)(song)(song)澍,與初(chu)彭齡(ling)(頤園(yuan))同(tong)為(wei)(wei)清代乾嘉時(shi)期官員、學者(zhe),亦為(wei)(wei)同(tong)鄉好(hao)友(you)。宋(song)(song)(song)開(kai)蕤,為(wei)(wei)宋(song)(song)(song)澍長子,工詩文,書(shu)畫、篆刻皆精妙。宋(song)(song)(song)開(kai)萊(lai),為(wei)(wei)宋(song)(song)(song)澍三子。可見,此(ci)硯乃(nai)初(chu)彭齡(ling)贈予宋(song)(song)(song)氏家族(zu),且(qie)頗(po)為(wei)(wei)宋(song)(song)(song)氏父(fu)子珍賞。尤(you)其是宋(song)(song)(song)開(kai)蕤所作硯銘(ming)(ming),寄托出文人滿腹經綸(lun),期待攜手(shou)出仕的美好(hao)愿景。荷葉之(zhi)襯(chen)托,象征(zheng)出淤泥(ni)而不染,亦如君子超凡脫俗、潔身(shen)自好(hao)的高貴(gui)品質,使得硯的文人氣息濃郁。今(jin)日賞之(zhi),當時(shi)文人以硯會(hui)友(you),佳(jia)硯相贈,結伴(ban)共賞,揮毫(hao)潑墨(mo)的情形(xing)仿佛躍然于方(fang)寸墨(mo)海(hai)之(zhi)間(jian)。
此外,硯(yan)臺盒蓋之上亦刻銘文曰:“澄(cheng)泥(ni)(ni)荷魚(yu)研(yan) 初頤園家舊物,河間吳棠湖購得(de)收(shou)(shou)藏”。可知該硯(yan)后被清末書畫家、收(shou)(shou)藏家吳潯源先生收(shou)(shou)藏。1954年,明代(dai)荷魚(yu)朱砂(sha)澄(cheng)泥(ni)(ni)硯(yan)由天津著名(ming)文物收(shou)(shou)藏家徐(xu)世(shi)章先生的親屬捐獻給(gei)天津市藝術(shu)博物館。由此可考,此硯(yan)經多(duo)位名(ming)家收(shou)(shou)藏鑒賞,流傳有緒,實為難得(de)。
