玉印頭魚是(shi)從紅高(gao)（獅(shi)）頭中(zhong)變化(hua)而來，全深(shen)紅色(se)，頭頂(ding)生有(you)白(bai)色(se)方形(xing)頭瘤，好(hao)似頭頂(ding)一顆方形(xing)玉印，因(yin)此得名(ming)“玉印(yin)頭(tou)(tou)(tou)(tou)”。獅頭(tou)(tou)(tou)(tou)型玉印(yin)頭(tou)(tou)(tou)(tou)與(yu)高頭(tou)(tou)(tou)(tou)型玉印(yin)頭(tou)(tou)(tou)(tou)的唯一(yi)區別在(zai)(zai)于，高頭(tou)(tou)(tou)(tou)型頭(tou)(tou)(tou)(tou)頂的頭(tou)(tou)(tou)(tou)瘤(liu)并不向兩腮下延(yan)，因此全部頭(tou)(tou)(tou)(tou)瘤(liu)皆為(wei)白色，而獅頭(tou)(tou)(tou)(tou)型的頭(tou)(tou)(tou)(tou)瘤(liu)包(bao)裹(guo)了兩腮，但只有頭(tou)(tou)(tou)(tou)頂部分為(wei)白色，兩腮部分與(yu)身(shen)體紅(hong)色相同，玉印(yin)頭(tou)(tou)(tou)(tou)在(zai)(zai)色彩(cai)搭配(pei)上與(yu)鶴頂紅(hong)恰好相反(fan)。
