興固(gu)寺(si)位于平鄉縣(xian)豐州(zhou)鎮竇馮馬村西部,相(xiang)傳始建(jian)于東漢(han),發(fa)展于宋元之(zhi)時(shi),明、清(qing)兩(liang)代(dai)達(da)到鼎盛時(shi)期(qi),寺(si)院占地面(mian)(mian)積(ji)100多畝(mu),有僧田300多畝(mu)。為(wei)(wei)當時(shi)直隸南(nan)(nan)部較-大(da)的佛(fo)教(jiao)圣地。興固(gu)寺(si)座(zuo)北朝南(nan)(nan),東西寬、南(nan)(nan)部131.8米(mi)(mi)(mi)、北部162.8米(mi)(mi)(mi),南(nan)(nan)北長(chang)113.5米(mi)(mi)(mi)現(xian)存占地面(mian)(mian)積(ji)16718.6平方米(mi)(mi)(mi)。千余(yu)年來,興固(gu)寺(si)曾多次重修維護(hu),今(jin)中軸(zhou)線上(shang)僅(jin)存三(san)殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(民國六年)、大(da)雄寶殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(1990年換頂(ding)),大(da)殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)東側(ce)金剛舍利殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(清(qing)乾隆十五年)等主要(yao)建(jian)筑(zhu)。現(xian)將各部分基本狀(zhuang)(zhuang)況描述如下:三(san)殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(天(tian)(tian)王殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian))三(san)殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian),又名天(tian)(tian)王殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian),高9米(mi)(mi)(mi),面(mian)(mian)寬三(san)間,硬山瓦頂(ding),抬梁(liang)式木架結構。今(jin)為(wei)(wei)民國六年重修之(zhi)殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian),殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)內(nei)正面(mian)(mian)供奉彌勒佛(fo),背后有護(hu)法彌陀站像,東西兩(liang)壁彩繪(hui)四大(da)天(tian)(tian)王。其殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)內(nei)梁(liang)檀多為(wei)(wei)鳥栢(bo)木料(liao),鳥栢(bo)刮刨翻新,鳥形益加(jia)清(qing)晰,其狀(zhuang)(zhuang)如燕(yan)如鵲,或(huo)站或(huo)翔,或(huo)仰首鳴唱,或(huo)翅尾(wei)側(ce)聽,栩(xu)(xu)栩(xu)(xu)如生,有滿殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)繞飛之(zhi)感(gan)。二殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)自上(shang)世紀四、五十年代(dai),拆除(chu)后未能(neng)復建(jian),今(jin)僅(jin)存墟址。
大雄(xiong)寶殿(dian),面(mian)寬(kuan)五間(jian),進(jin)深五間(jian),高10米,歇山(shan)頂滾龍花脊(ji),脊(ji)高盈來,其脊(ji)角獸(shou)碩大,現(xian)存(cun)角獸(shou)殘片中(zhong),僅獸(shou)嘴足有二尺。殿(dian)內(nei)正面(mian)供釋迦摩尼座(zuo)像(xiang)(xiang),為(wei)木質(zhi)通體貼金,腹空,其心(xin)臟(zang)處置(zhi)一金質(zhi)元寶,寺(si)敗后被寺(si)僧盜走。抗日戰(zhan)爭時(shi)期,八路軍活(huo)躍在漳河兩岸(an),以興(xing)固寺(si)為(wei)落腳地,曾在佛像(xiang)(xiang)腹內(nei)藏匿過傷員(yuan)或武器。佛像(xiang)(xiang)兩側置(zhi)十(shi)八羅(luo)漢(han)雕像(xiang)(xiang),佛前(qian)左(zuo)側置(zhi)七(qi)十(shi)二盞蓮(lian)花燈(deng)樹(shu),每朵蓮(lian)花座(zuo)上(shang)(shang)置(zhi)一青銅燈(deng)碗,其后為(wei)一尊高不足尺的小佛像(xiang)(xiang),形態各(ge)異。“破四舊立四新(xin)”時(shi)被砸(za)爛(lan)。今大殿(dian)是在原木架結構(gou)的基礎上(shang)(shang),于1990年重(zhong)新(xin)加固換頂,正面(mian)供釋迦摩尼漢(han)白玉座(zuo)為(wei)新(xin)雕刻像(xiang)(xiang)。
金(jin)(jin)剛舍(she)利殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian),為(wei)(wei)清乾隆十(shi)五年重建,至今保存(cun)完好。面寬三(san)(san)楹,進深(shen)三(san)(san)間,高(gao)三(san)(san)丈余(yu)。硬山瓦頂(ding),琉(liu)璃鑲邊,疊梁式(shi)木架結構,龍(long)(long)(long)頭(tou)鳳尾斗拱,山花(hua)(hua)為(wei)(wei)高(gao)浮雕(diao)琉(liu)璃彩游龍(long)(long)(long)戲珠,背頂(ding)東西磚雕(diao)“峻”“極”二(er)字,殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)前(qian)有兩組三(san)(san)層磚雕(diao)飾頭(tou),集透雕(diao)、浮懸雕(diao)于一身,刀工手(shou)法細膩,獸鳥神態(tai)逼(bi)真,花(hua)(hua)草惟妙惟肖。殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)內木雕(diao)更(geng)為(wei)(wei)獨特,梁檀柱架交(jiao)接(jie)處的(de)花(hua)(hua)牙角(jiao)魚戶不(bu)對(dui)稱,各有千秋,二(er)十(shi)四塊檀隔架雕(diao)造各異(yi),無(wu)(wu)一雷(lei)同。殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)頂(ding)脊檀處的(de)八組透雕(diao)花(hua)(hua)飾各具風(feng)采,通(tong)殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)木雕(diao)千姿(zi)百態(tai)。殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)內梁檀、托架、金(jin)(jin)坊遍(bian)施彩繪(hui),因年代(dai)久遠(yuan),彩繪(hui)勻變烏脫落、唯貼金(jin)(jin)游龍(long)(long)(long)雨蝕不(bu)脫,浮塵揮去,光(guang)亮如(ru)新。更(geng)讓人嘆為(wei)(wei)觀止的(de)是,殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)內能看到(dao)的(de)木架上(shang)都繪(hui)有雙龍(long)(long)(long)圖(tu)案,全殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)大大小(xiao)小(xiao)形(xing)態(tai)各異(yi)的(de)龍(long)(long)(long)圖(tu)多(duo)達365幅,形(xing)態(tai)生動,或(huo)(huo)飛或(huo)(huo)翔或(huo)(huo)動或(huo)(huo)靜,無(wu)(wu)不(bu)美輪美奐,特別(bie)是夜間,燈光(guang)一照,你好像置身在龍(long)(long)(long)的(de)海洋。龍(long)(long)(long)作為(wei)(wei)中華民族(zu)的(de)圖(tu)騰,為(wei)(wei)歷代(dai)帝王所專(zhuan)有,舍(she)利殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)這(zhe)種(zhong)遍(bian)繪(hui)金(jin)(jin)龍(long)(long)(long)的(de)高(gao)規格,更(geng)代(dai)表(biao)著它的(de)至高(gao)無(wu)(wu)上(shang),為(wei)(wei)國(guo)內寺廟建筑所絕無(wu)(wu)僅有。
興(xing)固(gu)寺(si)(si)始建于東漢年間,后(hou)趙(zhao)初期(319——332年)在北方影響較大(da)的(de)(de)印(yin)度高(gao)僧(seng)佛圖澄(cheng)經西域來華,受到后(hou)趙(zhao)皇帝石勒的(de)(de)信賴和(he)恩寵(chong),在今邢臺(tai)的(de)(de)襄國(guo)一帶廣置寺(si)(si)院,弘法傳道,并攜大(da)量金(jin)銀造(zao)寺(si)(si),興(xing)固(gu)寺(si)(si)由常年居住襄國(guo)的(de)(de)印(yin)度高(gao)僧(seng)佛圖澄(cheng)在原(yuan)寺(si)(si)基礎上(shang)加(jia)以擴建完善。 北宋時期,興(xing)固(gu)寺(si)(si)為汴京(jing)安國(guo)寺(si)(si)上(shang)寺(si)(si),安國(guo)寺(si)(si)作為下寺(si)(si)直接受興(xing)固(gu)寺(si)(si)的(de)(de)總額,興(xing)固(gu)寺(si)(si)享有(you)開壇(tan)受戒之權。當時寺(si)(si)內(nei)僧(seng)人眾(zhong)多,香火(huo)鼎盛。至南宋末年,由于連年戰火(huo)不(bu)斷,興(xing)固(gu)寺(si)(si)幾(ji)經兵焚面(mian)目全非。
元(yuan)至元(yuan)元(yuan)年(1264年),邢(xing)州噠治,興(xing)(xing)(xing)固寺也得以重新大規(gui)模重修,據地(di)(di)方文獻記載(zai),沿興(xing)(xing)(xing)固寺軸線(xian)建(jian)(jian)(jian)有(you)九龍(long)壁迎北(bei)、山門、三殿(dian)、二殿(dian)、大雄寶殿(dian)、西側建(jian)(jian)(jian)有(you)大悲殿(dian),軸線(xian)兩側建(jian)(jian)(jian)有(you)鐘鼓樓、東西廂房、東西方丈(zhang)室、戒堂、齋堂、客(ke)房等,寺院西側建(jian)(jian)(jian)有(you)歷代高僧圓(yuan)寂的石塔林,當地(di)(di)民(min)間流傳著“先有(you)興(xing)(xing)(xing)固寺,后(hou)(hou)有(you)北(bei)京城”之說。元(yuan)代開(kai)國元(yuan)勛劉秉忠與興(xing)(xing)(xing)固寺素有(you)往(wang)來(lai),后(hou)(hou)輔(fu)佐忽必烈定都(dou)進北(bei)京,并奉旨規(gui)劃(hua)京都(dou),劉秉忠設計皇城,以興(xing)(xing)(xing)固寺為參(can)考,建(jian)(jian)(jian)造了北(bei)京城。
明朝時期(qi),興固(gu)寺(si)重(zhong)修增建,使該寺(si)占地面積達到108畝,有僧田330畝。據嘉靖十五年興固(gu)寺(si)重(zhong)修碑記載:“金碧(bi)輝煌,見者改觀,宮殿巍峨,眺遠望也(ye),佛像森(sen)列,動人(ren)欽也(ye)”。
清(qing)乾(qian)(qian)隆十(shi)五(wu)年,又在大雄寶(bao)殿東側增(zeng)建金剛舍利(li)(li)殿,規制(zhi)之(zhi)高,國內罕見。據清(qing)乾(qian)(qian)隆十(shi)六年《平鄉縣(xian)志》記(ji)載:僧祥光自山西奉圣寺迎舍利(li)(li)數顆藏(zang)之(zhi)。當(dang)時,興固(gu)寺無論是(shi)規模建設還是(shi)僧眾都(dou)達到鼎盛(sheng)時期,據清(qing)代(dai)重修(xiu)碑記(ji)載:“然(ran)興固(gu)寺乃冀南(nan)一大叢林”與“天竺白馬”齊名。
民(min)國(guo)六(liu)年,對興固寺(si)三殿再次(ci)修整。
1937年,日軍侵(qin)華后,興固寺(si)成為抗日學校。
1945年(nian),平鄉(xiang)縣全境(jing)解放后,興固寺的房屋(wu)作為共產(chan)陸續被改為供銷社、鄉(xiang)政府、糧站(zhan)。“文(wen)化大革命”時期,一些極(ji)具藝(yi)術價值的建筑、碑刻、飾(shi)物(wu)遭到嚴重(zhong)破壞。
1978年,中共(gong)十一屆三中全會以后,根據黨的宗教政策,興固寺(si)開(kai)始(shi)恢復小(xiao)型的活動。
1984年,興固寺被(bei)平鄉縣(xian)人民政府公布為平鄉縣(xian)重點(dian)文物(wu)保護單(dan)位。
1992年(nian),經平鄉縣(xian)人民政(zheng)府批(pi)準(zhun),開放興(xing)固寺佛(fo)教活動場所(suo),把修繕恢復興(xing)固寺列(lie)為旅游(you)開發(fa)重點(dian)項目。馮馬(ma)鄉政(zheng)府、糧(liang)站、衛生(sheng)院(yuan)、供銷社和馮馬(ma)鄉中(zhong)等單位陸續從興(xing)固寺遷出,同時雕刻漢白玉佛(fo)像數尊。
1996年(nian),印宏法師受邢臺市佛(fo)協委派,來興固寺主持(chi)佛(fo)事(shi)。
2004年(nian),大雄寶(bao)殿(dian)、三殿(dian)相繼舉行開光慶典大會。中國佛協(xie)副會長、河北(bei)省佛協(xie)會長凈慧法師(shi)、普彤寺首座弘川法師(shi)、平鄉(xiang)縣委主管文(wen)化宗教的(de)副書記等到會并發(fa)表重要(yao)講話。來自全國各地(di)的(de)佛教徒4000多人齊集(ji)本寺,傳(chuan)道宏法,場面宏大壯觀。
2006年(nian),竇馮(feng)馬又被申報為河(he)北省歷史文化(hua)名村。興固寺(si)已(yi)成為冀南大地(di)重要的(de)(de)佛事活動場所。前來觀瞻(zhan)的(de)(de)善男信女(nv)絡繹(yi)不(bu)絕。
