早年經歷

從(cong)小在貧(pin)困(kun)的(de)(de)環境下成(cheng)長(chang)，童年主要在佐治亞州(zhou)的(de)(de)奧古斯塔(ta)度(du)過(guo)。

1949年(nian)，讀完八(ba)年(nian)級之前，因偷竊，在佐治(zhi)亞(ya)州(zhou)托(tuo)卡附近(jin)的一(yi)個教(jiao)養院接受了長達三年(nian)半的改造(zao)。

演藝經歷

1955年11月1日，“Famous Flames”在佐治亞州(zhou)的WIBB錄(lu)制(zhi)了《Please Please Please》。

1958年(nian)10月1日，他的第一首(shou)轟(hong)動性歌曲(qu)《Try Me》問(wen)世(shi)，很快火(huo)爆起來，成(cheng)為當(dang)年(nian)最暢銷的R&B單曲(qu)，開創了詹姆斯未來20年(nian)間17首(shou)登頂流行歌曲(qu)之先(xian)河。

1992年2月25日，在第34屆格(ge)萊美音樂(le)獎(jiang)晚會(hui)上(shang)獲頒終身成就獎(jiang)。

2006年12月25日凌晨1點45分(fen)，因(yin)肺炎在美國(guo)去世，享(xiang)年73歲(sui)。
