在中國(guo),很多(duo)人把撒(sa)(sa)拉弗誤解為熾天(tian)(tian)使(shi)的(de)名字,其實(shi),撒(sa)(sa)拉弗只(zhi)是Seraphim(熾天(tian)(tian)使(shi))的(de)音譯,在圣經中,真正(zheng)的(de)熾天(tian)(tian)使(shi)(Seraphim)是加百列(lie)(Gabriel),加百列(lie)是圣經所記載的(de)正(zheng)式的(de)的(de)天(tian)(tian)使(shi)——熾天(tian)(tian)使(shi)。
在(zai)(zai)伊(yi)斯(si)(si)蘭(lan)教(jiao)中(zhong)的(de)吉布列比基督教(jiao)的(de)加百列要(yao)更受重視(shi),以(yi)(yi)向(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)先知(zhi)穆(mu)罕默德傳達神的(de)話語。加百列具有(you)破壞人間(jian)一切污穢(hui)事物的(de)職(zhi)責,據說(shuo)本為(wei)神寵信的(de)天(tian)使,但因(yin)為(wei)拒絕對羅馬(ma)的(de)制裁(cai)而(er)失(shi)寵。事跡亦包括為(wei)耶穌(su)的(de)受胎、復活和誕生等(deng)報訊,在(zai)(zai)圣(sheng)經(jing)《但以(yi)(yi)理(li)書》(Daniel9,21-27)中(zhong)出現,在(zai)(zai)偽典bookof Henoch也有(you)提(ti)及(ji),遠(yuan)在(zai)(zai)500年前便(bian)向(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)先知(zhi)但以(yi)(yi)理(li)解夢以(yi)(yi)預告(gao)基督的(de)降臨及(ji)希臘滅波斯(si)(si)的(de)未來(lai)等(deng)等(deng)。事跡即為(wei)向(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)約翰(St.JohntheBaptizer)的(de)父親(qin)報告(gao)約翰誕生及(ji)向(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)童女瑪利亞報告(gao)她(ta)將(jiang)懷(huai)孕圣(sheng)子耶穌(su)。亦是親(qin)手埋葬摩西(xi)的(de)天(tian)使。
加百列為守(shou)護伊(yi)甸園(yuan)的(de)智(zhi)天使(shi)們,以防止撒旦的(de)入(ru)侵。加百列在審判(pan)中負(fu)責鳴喇叭以示死(si)人的(de)復活.
