北京市第(di)六(liu)十(shi)五中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)的前身是(shi)創建于1864年(nian)(nian)的私立(li)(li)育(yu)英中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue),1955年(nian)(nian)高中(zhong)(zhong)部獨(du)(du)立(li)(li)設校(xiao)(xiao),成為北京市一所純高中(zhong)(zhong)校(xiao)(xiao),1961年(nian)(nian)被評為區級重點(dian)中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue),1962年(nian)(nian)被評為市級重點(dian)中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue),現為公(gong)立(li)(li)完全中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)。學(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)背靠故宮,面(mian)對皇城根遺址公(gong)園,北有北大紅(hong)樓,南臨東長安(an)街(jie),交通十(shi)分便利,環(huan)境得(de)天獨(du)(du)厚。

北(bei)京市第六十(shi)五中(zhong)學(xue)(xue)前身是“男蒙館(guan)”。這(zhe)是1864年(nian)(清(qing)·同治三(san)年(nian))由美(mei)國(guo)基督教公理(li)會(hui)在燈市口地區創辦(ban)的一所私立教會(hui)學(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)。當時人(ren)們“醉(zui)心于科舉,而視學(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)為異端,故開辦(ban)初,生徒寥寥。然校(xiao)(xiao)方對學(xue)(xue)生優(you)待異常,不(bu)(bu)(bu)但(dan)不(bu)(bu)(bu)收學(xue)(xue)費,且(qie)擇其(qi)(qi)貧(pin)者(zhe)助以錢而餉以膳。由光(guang)緒初,至庚子,二(er)(er)十(shi)余年(nian)間,畢(bi)業者(zhe),成績優(you)美(mei),品(pin)德(de)純篤,漸(jian)為社會(hui)所信(xin)任,校(xiao)(xiao)務(wu)乃稍有起色”。學(xue)(xue)生由不(bu)(bu)(bu)足三(san)十(shi)人(ren)發展至一百(bai)六十(shi)余人(ren),設立了七年(nian)制小學(xue)(xue)及二(er)(er)年(nian)制初中(zhong)。1900年(nian)學(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)遭兵火,其(qi)(qi)后重(zhong)建,從孟子“得天(tian)下英才而教育(yu)之”一句中(zhong)取“育(yu)英”二(er)(er)字,更名為“育(yu)英學(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)”。
1918年(nian),美(mei)國(guo)教(jiao)(jiao)會(hui)委派中(zhong)國(guo)基督(du)徒李如松為(wei)校(xiao)長(chang),美(mei)國(guo)傳(chuan)教(jiao)(jiao)士邵作德(de)為(wei)副校(xiao)長(chang)。李、邵兩(liang)位潛心辦(ban)教(jiao)(jiao)育,在(zai)(zai)“體、智、德(de)”諸方面都有出色的理(li)念、論述(shu)。他們不惜重金聘(pin)請(qing)名(ming)師(shi)(shi),組(zu)建高(gao)水(shui)平的師(shi)(shi)資隊(dui)伍,且非常重視教(jiao)(jiao)學(xue)(xue)(xue)設備(bei)建設及教(jiao)(jiao)材選定,使辦(ban)學(xue)(xue)(xue)水(shui)平不斷(duan)提高(gao)。在(zai)(zai)此(ci)期間,校(xiao)園從一(yi)院(yuan)擴大(da)到四院(yuan),學(xue)(xue)(xue)制(zhi)從小(xiao)學(xue)(xue)(xue)、初中(zhong)擴展到高(gao)中(zhong),學(xue)(xue)(xue)生由百余人增至千余人,生源由本地擴大(da)到全(quan)國(guo)各省。1934年(nian),在(zai)(zai)北平市畢業會(hui)考中(zhong),學(xue)(xue)(xue)生梁炳文、唐(tang)統一(yi)分獲高(gao)、初中(zhong)組(zu)個人冠(guan)軍,育英學(xue)(xue)(xue)校(xiao)獲團體總分第一(yi)。育英教(jiao)(jiao)學(xue)(xue)(xue)效(xiao)果優異,可(ke)見一(yi)斑。
抗(kang)日(ri)(ri)戰爭時(shi)期,育英(ying)(ying)師(shi)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)憂國憂民(min),抵制日(ri)(ri)貨、為抗(kang)日(ri)(ri)募捐、出(chu)專(zhuan)刊、南下宣傳抗(kang)日(ri)(ri),積極(ji)參加“一二·九”愛國學(xue)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)運(yun)動(dong)。1937年北(bei)(bei)平(ping)(ping)淪陷,1941年育英(ying)(ying)學(xue)校被日(ri)(ri)偽接(jie)管(guan),改名(ming)(ming)為市(shi)(shi)立八(ba)中(zhong)(zhong)。1939年中(zhong)(zhong)共地下黨(dang)(dang)組織深入學(xue)校,秘密領導愛國學(xue)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)進行抗(kang)日(ri)(ri)活動(dong)。解放戰爭時(shi)期,在(zai)地下黨(dang)(dang)組織領導下,育英(ying)(ying)師(shi)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)積極(ji)參加“反(fan)饑餓、反(fan)內戰、反(fan)迫害”的(de)愛國運(yun)動(dong),為北(bei)(bei)平(ping)(ping)和平(ping)(ping)解放做出(chu)貢獻。在(zai)那風雨如磐(pan)的(de)日(ri)(ri)子里(li),師(shi)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)們煥發出(chu)愛國主義精神和對民(min)族復(fu)興(xing)的(de)渴望(wang)。1949年新中(zhong)(zhong)國接(jie)管(guan)了育英(ying)(ying)學(xue)校,改為公立,1952年更(geng)名(ming)(ming)為北(bei)(bei)京市(shi)(shi)第二十五(wu)中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)。
1955年(nian),根(gen)據北京市(shi)規劃,在(zai)育英(ying)(ying)三(san)院(yuan)(yuan)建(jian)立北京市(shi)第六十五中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue),學(xue)校以25中(zhong)(zhong)高(gao)(gao)中(zhong)(zhong)部的(de)(de)精英(ying)(ying)教師(shi)為班底,以高(gao)(gao)中(zhong)(zhong)一(yi)、二年(nian)級學(xue)生為主(zhu)體,成為北京市(shi)一(yi)所純高(gao)(gao)中(zhong)(zhong)校。學(xue)校肩負著歷(li)史重任,并繼承(cheng)育英(ying)(ying)傳統,取得了優異成績。1961年(nian)、1962年(nian)相(xiang)繼被評(ping)為區(qu)級、市(shi)級重點中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)。學(xue)生畢(bi)業后,大多成為各行各業的(de)(de)優秀人才。中(zhong)(zhong)國(guo)科(ke)學(xue)院(yuan)(yuan)院(yuan)(yuan)士(shi)白(bai)以龍(long)、中(zhong)(zhong)國(guo)工程院(yuan)(yuan)院(yuan)(yuan)士(shi)馬國(guo)馨、著名(ming)作家(jia)劉(liu)心武(wu)、著名(ming)足球教練金(jin)志揚(yang)等就是他們之(zhi)中(zhong)(zhong)的(de)(de)杰出代表(biao)。張迅如、楊天恩兩(liang)位校長做出了不可磨滅的(de)(de)貢獻。
1968年,六(liu)十五中(zhong)(zhong)成(cheng)為(wei)完全中(zhong)(zhong)學。歷(li)任(ren)校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)領導和(he)(he)全體師生(sheng)為(wei)重(zhong)振六(liu)十五中(zhong)(zhong)付出(chu)了(le)艱苦而不懈的(de)努力,逐(zhu)步確立了(le)以(yi)人(ren)為(wei)本的(de)治校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)方略,營造出(chu)和(he)(he)諧(xie)的(de)人(ren)際關系,形(xing)成(cheng)了(le)良好(hao)的(de)學風和(he)(he)教(jiao)風,辦(ban)學質(zhi)量實現(xian)飛躍(yue),學校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)取(qu)得長足發展。乘著教(jiao)育改革的(de)春(chun)風,學校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)提出(chu)“全面、和(he)(he)諧(xie)促進學生(sheng)、教(jiao)師和(he)(he)學校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)可持續發展”的(de)辦(ban)學理念,不斷開拓(tuo)創新(xin),在校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)本課程、藝術、體育、科技(ji)、教(jiao)育科研和(he)(he)國際教(jiao)育等方面形(xing)成(cheng)了(le)特色。
