寺廟介紹
開元寺,又稱“東大寺”,位于邢臺市襄(xiang)都區(qu)開元北(bei)路北(bei)88號,始建于(yu)后趙石勒年(nian)間,是(shi)禪(chan)宗(zong)(zong)二祖(zu)傳缽之地和七(qi)祖(zu)神會大師駐錫之地,曹洞(dong)宗(zong)(zong)的(de)(de)發源地之一,也是(shi)“大開元一宗(zong)(zong)”又稱“賈菩薩(sa)宗(zong)(zong)”的(de)(de)祖(zu)庭。迄今已(yi)有近1700年(nian)的(de)(de)歷(li)史,是(shi)至今仍保(bao)存較(jiao)為完整(zheng)的(de)(de)一座(zuo)唐代名剎(cha)。
開(kai)元(yuan)(yuan)寺(si)是唐(tang)(tang)代(dai)(dai)、五(wu)代(dai)(dai)、宋代(dai)(dai)和元(yuan)(yuan)代(dai)(dai)皇家寺(si)院,歷屆住(zhu)持多為(wei)(wei)(wei)得道高(gao)(gao)僧。唐(tang)(tang)開(kai)元(yuan)(yuan)年間唐(tang)(tang)玄宗下(xia)詔(zhao)敕建(jian),邢(xing)州(zhou)開(kai)元(yuan)(yuan)寺(si)由大(da)(da)云(yun)寺(si)改(gai)建(jian),該寺(si)初(chu)建(jian)時,香火(huo)旺盛,為(wei)(wei)(wei)中國北方(fang)之最(zui)。五(wu)代(dai)(dai)后(hou)梁(liang)(liang)時天竺(印度)高(gao)(gao)僧空(kong)本于(yu)后(hou)梁(liang)(liang)乾(qian)化(hua)年間曾在造里翻譯佛經,對(dui)中外文化(hua)交(jiao)流做出(chu)卓越貢(gong)獻。五(wu)代(dai)(dai)后(hou)周(zhou)時期,周(zhou)世宗柴榮(邢(xing)臺人)詔(zhao)命(ming)建(jian)立開(kai)元(yuan)(yuan)寺(si)大(da)(da)圣(sheng)塔(ta)(ta),宋代(dai)(dai)末(mo)期,重(zhong)修(xiu)邢(xing)州(zhou)開(kai)元(yuan)(yuan)寺(si)大(da)(da)圣(sheng)塔(ta)(ta),宋徽宗下(xia)詔(zhao)賜名為(wei)(wei)(wei)圓照(zhao)塔(ta)(ta),該塔(ta)(ta)高(gao)(gao)98米,元(yuan)(yuan)朝初(chu)期邢(xing)州(zhou)順德(de)(de)府為(wei)(wei)(wei)忽必(bi)(bi)烈的(de)封地,世祖忽必(bi)(bi)烈曾數次駕幸開(kai)元(yuan)(yuan)寺(si),萬安(an)禪師(shi)將受到兵火(huo)損破的(de)圓照(zhao)塔(ta)(ta)修(xiu)復(fu)為(wei)(wei)(wei)十三層,高(gao)(gao)108米,可容納千人。經劉秉(bing)忠湊請,忽必(bi)(bi)烈下(xia)詔(zhao)改(gai)圓照(zhao)塔(ta)(ta)為(wei)(wei)(wei)普門塔(ta)(ta)。此塔(ta)(ta)為(wei)(wei)(wei)中國歷史上最(zui)高(gao)(gao)最(zui)大(da)(da)的(de)木(mu)佛塔(ta)(ta),故該寺(si)更為(wei)(wei)(wei)昌盛。明正德(de)(de)年間該寺(si)又(you)重(zhong)加修(xiu)繕。
據(ju)史料(liao)記(ji)載,自唐至明(ming)初(chu),開(kai)元(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)寺(si)(si)有(you)僧數千,良田數頃,游僧、佛徒更是(shi)(shi)不可勝(sheng)數。元(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)朝(chao)(chao)是(shi)(shi)該(gai)寺(si)(si)最(zui)興盛的(de)時期,元(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)世祖忽(hu)必烈(lie)曾兩次(ci)幸臨開(kai)元(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)寺(si)(si)。1250年,忽(hu)必烈(lie)賜名(ming)邢(xing)州開(kai)元(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)寺(si)(si)為大開(kai)元(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)寺(si)(si),1276年,忽(hu)必烈(lie)在(zai)邢(xing)州開(kai)元(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)寺(si)(si)召開(kai)資(zi)(zi)戒(jie)(jie)大會,一(yi)次(ci)受具足戒(jie)(jie)者竟達十萬人,1279年,忽(hu)必烈(lie)再次(ci)在(zai)邢(xing)州開(kai)元(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)寺(si)(si)設(she)資(zi)(zi)戒(jie)(jie)大會,并立資(zi)(zi)戒(jie)(jie)壇碑,雖然(ran)明(ming)朝(chao)(chao)以后(hou),開(kai)元(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)寺(si)(si)逐漸(jian)衰落,但每當住(zhu)持(chi)法師講授教義時,知名(ming)高僧仍多達千人云集于此。據(ju)《襄(xiang)都(dou)區志》記(ji)載:“每當朝(chao)(chao)暾初(chu)上,暮煙繚繞,僧人奉經,撞鐘之聲(sheng)遠(yuan)聞數里。”所以,開(kai)元(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)寺(si)(si)堪稱當時中(zhong)國(guo)北方(fang)的(de)一(yi)個佛教中(zhong)心(xin)。
1982年被河北省(sheng)政府列為省(sheng)重(zhong)(zhong)點文物(wu)保護單(dan)(dan)位,90年代末期由邢(xing)臺(tai)市人民(min)政府重(zhong)(zhong)修,2006年,被列為全國(guo)重(zhong)(zhong)點文物(wu)保護單(dan)(dan)位,隨(sui)即(ji)邢(xing)臺(tai)市政府決定再(zai)次修復(fu)開(kai)元(yuan)寺,并建(jian)成(cheng)占地200余畝的(de)公園,助力邢(xing)臺(tai)申報國(guo)家級歷史文化名城(cheng)。
開元古寺
殿閣
開元寺現存主要殿閣四座,天王殿、毗盧殿、觀音殿和大雄寶殿(又稱三世佛殿),氣宇軒昂,巍峨壯觀,具有很高的歷史和學術價值。其中天王殿,除了眾所周知的佛像外,四壁皆為歷代名人所題詩詞。相傳(chuan)“八仙”之一的鐘離(li)(li)權,當(dang)年拜訪該寺(si)住持、有道(dao)高僧萬安(an)長老時,就(jiu)曾(ceng)留下草書題壁(bi)詩。其(qi)詩云(yun):“得道(dao)高僧不易逢(feng),幾時歸去愿相從(cong)(cong),自言(yan)住處(chu)連滄海,別是(shi)(shi)(shi)蓬萊第(di)一峰。莫(mo)厭追歡(huan)笑語頻,尋思離(li)(li)亂好傷神(shen),閑來屈指從(cong)(cong)頭數,見得清平有幾人。“八仙過海”是(shi)(shi)(shi)中國古代的神(shen)話傳(chuan)說,“八仙”之一的鐘離(li)(li)權是(shi)(shi)(shi)否到過邢臺,已無從(cong)(cong)考證,但上(shang)(shang)述題壁(bi)詩確曾(ceng)題在開元(yuan)寺(si)的墻(qiang)壁(bi)上(shang)(shang),宋朝時還有人將其(qi)刻在石(shi)碑上(shang)(shang),使開元(yuan)寺(si)聲(sheng)名(ming)大噪。究(jiu)其(qi)詩意,憂傷離(li)(li)亂,想必是(shi)(shi)(shi)后人托鐘離(li)(li)權之名(ming)而(er)作。
釋迦牟尼(ni)殿(三殿)為(wei)整個(ge)開元(yuan)寺建(jian)筑(zhu)精華所(suo)在(zai)。此殿為(wei)硬山式建(jian)筑(zhu),面闊五(wu)間,進深二(er)間,巍峨壯觀(guan)(guan),結(jie)構精巧(qiao),風格獨具。明(ming)朝正德(de)十三年(公元(yuan)1518年),在(zai)觀(guan)(guan)音殿前增(zeng)加(jia)了四根(gen)雕花滾龍(long)石柱(zhu),除(chu)山東曲阜(fu)孔廟中(zhong)的雕龍(long)石柱(zhu)外,幾乎無(wu)與(yu)匹敵。這四根(gen)石柱(zhu)各高(gao)4.5米(mi),柱(zhu)圍2.5米(mi),雕藝精湛,線條流(liu)暢(chang)。柱(zhu)上游龍(long)或盤(pan)旋(xuan)而(er)上,或蜿蜒而(er)下(xia),或回首凝視,且龍(long)首龍(long)體皆突出柱(zhu)外20—35厘米(mi),力(li)度感強烈,儼然真龍(long)游躍騰舞,造型生(sheng)動,風格粗(cu)獷(guang),堪稱中(zhong)華民族文(wen)化(hua)藝術之(zhi)瑰寶。龍(long)柱(zhu)兩側(ce)的石板雕花,工(gong)藝精巧(qiao),手法細膩,同樣(yang)令人嘆為(wei)觀(guan)(guan)止。
第四殿大雄寶殿面(mian)闊五間(jian),進深三間(jian),單檐歇山布瓦頂(ding)。規(gui)模宏大,別(bie)具風格。現存殿宇多為明(ming)清(qing)時期建筑。
金代大定鐘
寺內(nei)還(huan)遺留(liu)金(jin)代巨(ju)型(xing)鐵鐘(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)一(yi)個。該(gai)鐘(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)高(gao)2.70米(mi),下沿圍長7.2米(mi),鐘(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)厚半尺(chi),重達3萬多斤(jin)。該(gai)鐘(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)鑄(zhu)成于(yu)金(jin)“大定甲辰歲”即金(jin)大定二(er)十(shi)四(si)年(nian)(公元(yuan)1184年(nian)),鐘(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)壁(bi)有(you)(you)日、月(yue)、人(ren)、獸(shou)、牛、魚等(deng)十(shi)二(er)種圖案,與黃道(dao)十(shi)二(er)宮相(xiang)對應。是研究中國(guo)古天(tian)文學發展淵源不(bu)可多得(de)的實物資料(liao)。另(ling)有(you)(you)乾(qian)、坤(kun)、震、巽(xun)、坎、離、艮、兌等(deng)八(ba)卦圖像,含乾(qian)坤(kun)渾圓之(zhi)說。鐘(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)壁(bi)還(huan)鑄(zhu)有(you)(you)文字數百,清晰可辨(bian),多記載鑄(zhu)造(zao)(zao)、監制(zhi)、資助人(ren)姓名或身份、籍貫(guan)等(deng)。該(gai)鐘(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)鑄(zhu)成至(zhi)今,已有(you)(you)800多年(nian)的歷史,雖(sui)歷經風雨(yu)剝蝕,因鑄(zhu)造(zao)(zao)技術高(gao)超絕倫,鐵質(zhi)火(huo)候(hou)純精,不(bu)但不(bu)顯氧化(hua)痕跡(ji),并且綜(zong)紅色的鐘(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)體四(si)周仍然熒熒發亮,“十(shi)年(nian)動亂”中曾遭搗砸,但只聞(wen)嗡嗡聲,不(bu)見鐘(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)破損,可見中國(guo)古代鑄(zhu)鐵工藝的高(gao)超。當年(nian)該(gai)鐘(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)懸在開(kai)元(yuan)寺三(san)殿前(qian)(qian)東側的鐘(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)樓內(nei),用以作課(ke)報(bao)時,每(mei)當以巨(ju)木(mu)擊撞時,鐘(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)聲粗獷沉鳴,聲聞(wen)數里。信徒僧(seng)(seng)眾聞(wen)鐘(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)聲,雙手合十(shi),異地(di)同拜,成為邢臺(tai)一(yi)大景觀,俗稱“野(ye)寺鐘(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)聲”,為邢臺(tai)八(ba)景之(zhi)一(yi)。傳說,大鐘(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)鑄(zhu)成后第一(yi)次(ci)敲響(xiang)前(qian)(qian),老僧(seng)(seng)告訴眾僧(seng)(seng)說“等(deng)我走(zou)離寺院十(shi)里之(zhi)外,你們再敲鐘(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)”。但眾僧(seng)(seng)不(bu)明其意,試鐘(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)心切,老僧(seng)(seng)才走(zou)出三(san)里就敲了鐘(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong),結果(guo)鐘(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)聲便只能傳出三(san)里。
唐代經幢
寺內(nei)西側有(you)經(jing)(jing)幢(chuang)二(er)座,一為唐代建造(zao)的“道德經(jing)(jing)幢(chuang)”,石(shi)質(zhi),通高(gao)七米,呈六面(mian)形,分為三截,共(gong)十八面(mian),上刻(ke)(ke)有(you)老子(zi)《道德經(jing)(jing)》。據《襄都(dou)區志》載,經(jing)(jing)幢(chuang)文字系(xi)唐代大書(shu)法家褚(chu)遂良所(suo)書(shu),為國內(nei)僅存(cun)(cun)的三座同類(lei)經(jing)(jing)幢(chuang)之一,極具歷史價值,另一座建于后梁(liang)乾化年(nian)間(jian)(911一915年(nian))的唐代尊(zun)勝陀羅尼經(jing)(jing)幢(chuang),刻(ke)(ke)《陀羅尼經(jing)(jing)》一部,并題有(you)“印度副使李逢書(shu)”等字樣,雕刻(ke)(ke)精細。今為不多見的浮雕珍品。寺后原有(you)寶(bao)塔一座,名曰“園照塔”,現(xian)已不存(cun)(cun)。
影壁
原寺(si)門前(qian)有(you)大型影壁(bi)一座,影壁(bi)上(shang)有(you)滾龍團花、系(xi)彩色硫璃瓦拼砌而成,飛(fei)龍姿態雄健(jian)、造型優美,且暴出(chu)影壁(bi)數寸,活靈活現(xian),頗(po)有(you)欲躍欲飛(fei)的神態。雕(diao)塑之細膩逼真,砌工之高超卓絕,均為北方所罕見。據(ju)史志描寫的盛況,每當住持法師摶授教義,前(qian)來(lai)聽講者“僧(seng)眾數千”,“暮煙繚(liao)繞,僧(seng)人唪經(jing)(jing)(jing)、撞鐘(zhong)之聲(sheng)遠(yuan)聞十里之外”。開(kai)元寺(si)雖(sui)(sui)歷(li)經(jing)(jing)(jing)滄桑,但雄姿猶(you)存(cun)(cun),開(kai)元寺(si)占地(di)45畝,坐北朝南,氣勢宏(hong)偉(wei)。該寺(si)歷(li)代(dai)屢有(you)修葺,現(xian)存(cun)(cun)殿閣,主要為明(ming)代(dai)建筑風(feng)格。這些建筑雖(sui)(sui)歷(li)經(jing)(jing)(jing)千年滄桑,保存(cun)(cun)仍基本完(wan)好,不少遺(yi)物具有(you)很高的歷(li)史和(he)藝(yi)術價(jia)值。
