上(shang)海城隍廟坐落于上(shang)海老城廂最為繁華(hua)的黃浦(pu)區豫園旅游區,是上(shang)海地區著(zhu)名的道教(jiao)宮觀,始建于明代永(yong)樂年間(1403-1424),距今已有(you)六百余年的歷史。由于上(shang)(shang)海城(cheng)隍(huang)尊(zun)神在本地(di)區(qu)的(de)(de)(de)特殊地(di)位,在六百年的(de)(de)(de)發展歷程中,上(shang)(shang)海城(cheng)隍(huang)廟(miao)道觀的(de)(de)(de)建設和發展得到了明、清歷任(ren)地(di)方縣府(fu)的(de)(de)(de)重視和上(shang)(shang)海地(di)區(qu)百姓的(de)(de)(de)熱心(xin)支持。
從明代(dai)永樂年間到(dao)(dao)清代(dai)道(dao)光年間(1821-1850)上海(hai)城隍(huang)廟(miao)(miao)的(de)(de)廟(miao)(miao)基不(bu)斷擴大,宮(gong)觀建筑(zhu)不(bu)斷增(zeng)加,最為(wei)繁盛時期,總面積達到(dao)(dao)49.9畝土(tu)地,約三萬(wan)三千多平方米。作(zuo)為(wei)上海(hai)地區重要(yao)的(de)(de)道(dao)教宮(gong)觀,1995年,隨著宗教信仰(yang)自由政策的(de)(de)逐(zhu)步落實,上海(hai)城隍(huang)廟(miao)(miao)得到(dao)(dao)恢復,重新成(cheng)為(wei)由正一(yi)派道(dao)士管理的(de)(de)道(dao)教宮(gong)觀,完成(cheng)了一(yi)期修復工程。
2006年,在市、區政府的關心下,在上海市豫園商城股份有限公司的支持下,上海城隍廟大殿前廂房的使用權得以歸還,完成了二期修復工程。2015 年,上海城(cheng)隍(huang)廟(miao)前庭兩側(ce)廂(xiang)房使用權收回,廟(miao)觀(guan)進行了新一輪的(de)修繕,廟(miao)觀(guan)布局基本完(wan)整,為完(wan)善功能(neng),服務社會(hui)提(ti)供了更廣闊的(de)活(huo)動平(ping)(ping)臺。如(ru)今的(de)上海城(cheng)隍(huang)廟(miao),包括霍光(guang)殿(dian)(dian)(dian)、元辰殿(dian)(dian)(dian)、財神(shen)殿(dian)(dian)(dian)、慈(ci)航殿(dian)(dian)(dian)、三官殿(dian)(dian)(dian)、月老殿(dian)(dian)(dian)、城(cheng)隍(huang)殿(dian)(dian)(dian)、娘娘殿(dian)(dian)(dian)、父母殿(dian)(dian)(dian)、關(guan)圣殿(dian)(dian)(dian)、文昌殿(dian)(dian)(dian)、祖師殿(dian)(dian)(dian)十二(er)個殿(dian)(dian)(dian)堂,總(zong)面積(ji)約三千余平(ping)(ping)方米(mi)。
上海城隍廟殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)堂建筑屬南方大(da)式建筑,紅墻泥瓦(wa),廟內(nei)主(zhu)體建筑由(you)廟前廣場、大(da)殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)、元辰(chen)殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian),財神殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)、慈航殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)、城隍殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)、娘娘殿(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)等組成。
儀門是(shi)(shi)(shi)過(guo)去官衙(ya)的第二(er)道正門。儀門前面有(you)二(er)副(fu)對聯(lian)(lian)。一(yi)副(fu)對聯(lian)(lian)的上(shang)聯(lian)(lian)是(shi)(shi)(shi):陽世(shi)(shi)(shi)之間積(ji)善(shan)作惡(e)皆由你;下(xia)聯(lian)(lian)是(shi)(shi)(shi):陰曹地(di)府古(gu)往(wang)今(jin)來放(fang)過(guo)誰。這副(fu)對聯(lian)(lian)的意(yi)思(si)(si)就是(shi)(shi)(shi),在(zai)陽世(shi)(shi)(shi),你生活(huo)中,做(zuo)好事(shi)或(huo)(huo)(huo)者做(zuo)壞(huai)事(shi),都(dou)是(shi)(shi)(shi)由你自己決定的。可是(shi)(shi)(shi)人(ren)(ren)死后到(dao)了陰間,地(di)獄的官府從古(gu)到(dao)今(jin),從來不(bu)會放(fang)過(guo)要(yao)懲罰的壞(huai)人(ren)(ren)。另一(yi)副(fu)對聯(lian)(lian)的上(shang)聯(lian)(lian)是(shi)(shi)(shi):世(shi)(shi)(shi)事(shi)何須多計(ji)較;下(xia)聯(lian)(lian)是(shi)(shi)(shi):神界自有(you)大乘除。這副(fu)對聯(lian)(lian)的意(yi)思(si)(si)就是(shi)(shi)(shi),人(ren)(ren)生在(zai)世(shi)(shi)(shi),碰到(dao)各種(zhong)吃虧或(huo)(huo)(huo)沾(zhan)便宜(yi)的事(shi)情,你不(bu)必多加計(ji)較。因為,神靈對于人(ren)(ren)的善(shan)良和罪惡(e)都(dou)會加以回報或(huo)(huo)(huo)清(qing)算的。
在對聯的(de)后面掛(gua)著(zhu)一(yi)只(zhi)很(hen)大(da)的(de)算(suan)(suan)(suan)(suan)(suan)(suan)盤(pan),算(suan)(suan)(suan)(suan)(suan)(suan)盤(pan)上(shang)(shang)刻著(zhu)四個字“不由人(ren)(ren)算(suan)(suan)(suan)(suan)(suan)(suan)”,算(suan)(suan)(suan)(suan)(suan)(suan)盤(pan)上(shang)(shang)的(de)算(suan)(suan)(suan)(suan)(suan)(suan)珠(zhu)有(you)(you)上(shang)(shang)有(you)(you)下(xia),象(xiang)征神界(jie)正(zheng)在進行(xing)(xing)“大(da)乘除”。算(suan)(suan)(suan)(suan)(suan)(suan)盤(pan)的(de)旁邊立了二塊巨(ju)額(e)。巨(ju)額(e)上(shang)(shang)寫(xie)的(de)是(shi):為善(shan)者昌,為惡者亡(wang)。意思是(shi):做(zuo)(zuo)好事的(de)人(ren)(ren),在神界(jie)計(ji)(ji)算(suan)(suan)(suan)(suan)(suan)(suan)中一(yi)定(ding)會(hui)(hui)興(xing)旺發達;做(zuo)(zuo)壞(huai)事的(de)人(ren)(ren),在神界(jie)計(ji)(ji)算(suan)(suan)(suan)(suan)(suan)(suan)中一(yi)定(ding)會(hui)(hui)衰敗(bai)滅亡(wang)。城隍廟掛(gua)大(da)算(suan)(suan)(suan)(suan)(suan)(suan)盤(pan)是(shi)有(you)(you)深刻含義的(de)。它一(yi)方面告(gao)訴信眾,做(zuo)(zuo)人(ren)(ren)要(yao)淡泊名利(li),不要(yao)自(zi)(zi)私自(zi)(zi)利(li),不要(yao)斤(jin)斤(jin)計(ji)(ji)較。因為,人(ren)(ren)有(you)(you)算(suan)(suan)(suan)(suan)(suan)(suan)計(ji)(ji),天(tian)(tian)有(you)(you)算(suan)(suan)(suan)(suan)(suan)(suan)計(ji)(ji),人(ren)(ren)算(suan)(suan)(suan)(suan)(suan)(suan)總不如(ru)天(tian)(tian)算(suan)(suan)(suan)(suan)(suan)(suan)。過分計(ji)(ji)較的(de)結果會(hui)(hui)自(zi)(zi)食其果。另一(yi)方面又是(shi)告(gao)示天(tian)(tian)下(xia),天(tian)(tian)算(suan)(suan)(suan)(suan)(suan)(suan)就是(shi)天(tian)(tian)道(dao),天(tian)(tian)道(dao)自(zi)(zi)有(you)(you)規(gui)律,任何(he)人(ren)(ren)只(zhi)有(you)(you)循天(tian)(tian)道(dao)而行(xing)(xing)才有(you)(you)善(shan)終,逆天(tian)(tian)道(dao)而行(xing)(xing)必然自(zi)(zi)取滅亡(wang)。
大殿正(zheng)門上懸(xuan)“城隍廟”匾額,并配以對聯“做(zuo)個(ge)好人心(xin)正(zheng)身安(an)魂夢(meng)穩(wen),行(xing)些善事天(tian)知(zhi)地鑒鬼神欽”。
大殿(dian)內(nei)供奉金山(shan)神(shen)主(zhu)漢(han)代博陸侯霍光大將軍坐像,左首(shou)(shou)為文判官(guan),右首(shou)(shou)為武判官(guan),次為日(ri)巡與夜(ye)查,日(ri)巡、夜(ye)查以(yi)下為八皂隸。
第一(yi)對(dui)立柱懸有對(dui)聯“威靈顯赫護國安(an)邦扶社(she)稷(ji),圣道高明降施甘露(lu)救生民”以(yi)贊(zan)揚城隍神的功績(ji),上懸匾額“牧化黎民”。
第二(er)對(dui)立柱上(shang)懸(xuan)“刻薄成家難免子孫浪費,奸淫造(zao)孽(nie)焉能妻女(nv)清貞”的對(dui)聯以警示(shi)世人。城隍(huang)(huang)廟大殿(dian)在明代永樂年間已經存在,當時的上(shang)海知縣張守約將供奉金(jin)山神主霍(huo)光(guang)的金(jin)山行祠改建為上(shang)海城隍(huang)(huang)廟大殿(dian),殿(dian)內依舊供奉金(jin)山神主霍(huo)光(guang)。
1924年為(wei)火所焚,1926年開始重建,1927年完(wan)工,大(da)殿(dian)即是重建于(yu)1926年的城隍廟大(da)殿(dian),為(wei)全部(bu)鋼筋水泥結構仿古大(da)殿(dian)。
元(yuan)辰殿(dian):又稱六十甲子殿(dian)。元(yuan),為(wei)“善”,元(yuan)辰,就是指吉利時日的意思。
元辰神(shen)靈(ling)是中國的年歲神(shen)靈(ling),與每一位中國人的年運有關。
中國(guo)古代(dai)子(zi)以天干地支循環相(xiang)配由甲子(zi)起至癸亥結束,以六(liu)十為(wei)一周,故也稱(cheng)六(liu)十甲子(zi),后道教(jiao)(jiao)以六(liu)十甲子(zi)配以神(shen)(shen)名,從而形成了道教(jiao)(jiao)元辰(chen)信仰(yang)。因六(liu)十甲子(zi)神(shen)(shen)靈(ling)是星神(shen)(shen),故也稱(cheng)太歲神(shen)(shen)。
在(zai)民間(jian),指(zhi)人(ren)們把某年(nian)(nian)(nian)在(zai)六(liu)十元(yuan)辰中所(suo)對(dui)應的(de)太歲神(shen)稱(cheng)為當年(nian)(nian)(nian)的(de)值年(nian)(nian)(nian)太歲,本(ben)人(ren)出生(sheng)之年(nian)(nian)(nian)的(de)所(suo)對(dui)應的(de)太歲神(shen)稱(cheng)為本(ben)命太歲。信徒禮拜本(ben)命太歲,祈求(qiu)年(nian)(nian)(nian)年(nian)(nian)(nian)平安,吉祥如意的(de)儀式,就稱(cheng)為順星。
慈(ci)航殿:慈(ci)航殿內供奉慈(ci)航真(zhen)人(主平安),又(you)稱慈(ci)航仙姑真(zhen)人、也稱慈(ci)航大士、圓通自在天(tian)尊,本是道教女真(zhen)神(shen)仙 農歷六月十八生日。法寶為三(san)寶玉如意、清凈琉(liu)璃瓶(ping)。
慈(ci)航(hang)大士垂慈(ci)施德,普濟世間苦難之人(ren);左(zuo)邊(bian)為(wei)眼(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)光娘(niang)娘(niang)(主(zhu)治眼(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)疾),又稱眼(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)光圣母(mu)惠照明目元(yuan)君,傳說(shuo)眼(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)光娘(niang)娘(niang)能治療各(ge)種(zhong)疾病,保佑人(ren)們眼(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)明心亮(liang)、身體(ti)健康。
農歷三月初(chu)六(liu)與四月廿日(ri)都是(shi)眼光娘娘誕(dan)辰。右邊為(wei)天后娘娘媽祖(主出海平安(an)(an)),又稱(cheng)輔(fu)兜昭孝純正靈應孚濟護國庇民妙靈昭應弘(hong)仁普濟天妃,司掌海上安(an)(an)全、商業(ye)興隆、平安(an)(an)守護、消災避(bi)難(nan)。
財(cai)神殿(dian):財(cai)神殿(dian)內供奉財(cai)神、招(zhao)財(cai)仙(xian)(xian)官(guan)、進(jin)寶仙(xian)(xian)官(guan)、利市(shi)仙(xian)(xian)官(guan)、納珍(zhen)(zhen)仙(xian)(xian)官(guan)。趙公(gong)明(ming),本名朗,字公(gong)明(ming),又(you)稱趙玄壇(tan),趙公(gong)元(yuan)帥(shuai)。“玄壇(tan)”是指道教(jiao)的(de)齋壇(tan),也有護法之(zhi)意(yi),為(wei)(wei)道教(jiao)四大元(yuan)帥(shuai)之(zhi)一。同(tong)時為(wei)(wei)雷部將(jiang)帥(shuai)和五方瘟神之(zhi)一。又(you)相傳為(wei)(wei)正(zheng)財(cai)神,司(si)掌世間財(cai)源。多為(wei)(wei)黑(hei)面濃須,騎黑(hei)虎,一手執(zhi)銀(yin)鞭,一手持元(yuan)寶,全(quan)副戎裝。統帥(shuai)招(zhao)財(cai)仙(xian)(xian)官(guan)陳九(jiu)公(gong)、進(jin)寶仙(xian)(xian)官(guan)蕭升、利市(shi)仙(xian)(xian)官(guan)姚少司(si)和納珍(zhen)(zhen)仙(xian)(xian)官(guan)曹寶,專(zhuan)司(si)迎祥(xiang)納福、商賈買賣。
城(cheng)(cheng)隍殿(dian)(dian)(dian):城(cheng)(cheng)隍廟內最后一進殿(dian)(dian)(dian)為城(cheng)(cheng)隍殿(dian)(dian)(dian)。城(cheng)(cheng)隍殿(dian)(dian)(dian)兩側懸有(you)對聯(lian)(lian)以贊揚城(cheng)(cheng)隍神公(gong)正無(wu)私(si)“禍(huo)福分明(ming)(ming)此(ci)地難通線(xian)索,善惡立判須知天道無(wu)私(si)”,上(shang)懸匾額(e)“威靈顯赫”。殿(dian)(dian)(dian)內另有(you)一副贊神對聯(lian)(lian)“天道無(wu)私(si)做善降(jiang)祥(xiang)預知吉(ji)兇禍(huo)福,神明(ming)(ming)有(you)應修功(gong)解厄分辨邪(xie)正忠奸(jian)”橫批(pi)“燮理陰陽”。城(cheng)(cheng)隍殿(dian)(dian)(dian)中央(yang)供奉(feng)上(shang)海縣(xian)城(cheng)(cheng)隍神紅臉(lian)木雕像,正襟危(wei)坐。城(cheng)(cheng)隍殿(dian)(dian)(dian)內仿(fang)照(zhao)明(ming)(ming)代縣(xian)衙公(gong)堂(tang)陳設,儀仗森嚴。
娘(niang)娘(niang)殿(dian):城(cheng)隍(huang)殿(dian)西面為(wei)娘(niang)娘(niang)殿(dian),供(gong)奉上海縣城(cheng)隍(huang)神夫人儲(chu)氏。城(cheng)隍(huang)夫人儲(chu)氏,周(zhou)浦(pu)(pu)一(yi)(yi)帶(dai)的望族之女。當(dang)時,周(zhou)浦(pu)(pu)儲(chu)姓(xing)家(jia)族頗具聲望,祖輩(bei)是宋(song)代(dai)詞人儲(chu)泳(約1101~1165,字文卿,號華(hua)谷(gu)),隨宋(song)室南遷而(er)隱居(ju)在周(zhou)浦(pu)(pu)一(yi)(yi)帶(dai)。
父(fu)母殿(dian)(dian):城隍殿(dian)(dian)東首為父(fu)母殿(dian)(dian),殿(dian)(dian)內供(gong)奉上海縣城隍神父(fu)母。城隍父(fu)秦良顥(hao)(1278~1355),字(zi)信甫,號述(shu)齋(zhai)。師(shi)從蕭氏,搜集蒙(meng)古(gu)文(wen)史傳故(gu)事(shi)及(ji)時(shi)務功(gong)要(yao)者(zhe)(zhe)三百(bai)余條(tiao),編(bian)譯成漢(han)(han)文(wen)的知識大(da)全《纂(zuan)通》;又掇(duo)拾師(shi)言(yan),兼(jian)采別(bie)說,輯成《一貫(guan)》,并取蒙(meng)古(gu)及(ji)維吾(wu)爾問答之(zhi)言(yan),編(bian)成《吹萬集》。他是(shi)極為難(nan)得的漢(han)(han)人出身的蒙(meng)古(gu)文(wen)專家。當時(shi),漢(han)(han)人學(xue)蒙(meng)古(gu)文(wen)者(zhe)(zhe)無(wu)出其(qi)右,因此他年紀輕(qing)(qing)輕(qing)(qing)就(jiu)出任國(guo)子監學(xue)錄(lu),而(er)他“淡(dan)然無(wu)求進意,隱居教(jiao)授(shou),戶外之(zhi)屨至(zhi),無(wu)所容達。官大(da)人至(zhi)者(zhe)(zhe),莫不晉謁,與之(zhi)語,動(dong)中肯綮,而(er)適(shi)于事(shi)情未嘗(chang) 不為之(zhi)嘆服也(ye)”,“其(qi)平時(shi)一言(yan)一動(dong),無(wu)不揆乎道義(yi),人皆稱篤(du)行(xing)君(jun)子焉”。大(da)德年間(1297~1307),秦良顥(hao)經翰林(lin)寇學(xue)士推薦,進萬言(yan)策,由國(guo)子監學(xue)錄(lu)提升為浙西榷鹺使。于是(shi),秦良顥(hao)舉家南(nan)下(xia)返回上海地區(qu)。
文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)昌(chang)(chang)殿內供奉文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)昌(chang)(chang)帝(di)君(jun)(jun)(jun)。文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)昌(chang)(chang)帝(di)君(jun)(jun)(jun)又稱梓(zi)潼(tong)帝(di)君(jun)(jun)(jun)、文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)曲(qu)(qu)星、文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)星,為(wei)(wei)主(zhu)宰功名、祿位之(zhi)神(shen)。是(shi)中(zhong)國民(min)間和(he)道教尊(zun)(zun)奉的(de)(de)掌管(guan)士人(ren)(ren)功名祿位之(zhi)神(shen)。文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)昌(chang)(chang)本星名,亦稱文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)昌(chang)(chang)星,或文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)星,古時認為(wei)(wei)是(shi)主(zhu)持(chi)文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)運功名的(de)(de)星宿。其成為(wei)(wei)中(zhong)國民(min)間和(he)道教所信奉的(de)(de)文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)昌(chang)(chang)帝(di)君(jun)(jun)(jun),與梓(zi)潼(tong)神(shen)張亞子(zi)有(you)關。東晉(jin)(jin)寧康二年(374),蜀(shu)人(ren)(ren)張育自稱蜀(shu)王(wang),起義抗擊前秦苻堅,英勇(yong)戰死,人(ren)(ren)們在梓(zi)潼(tong)郡七曲(qu)(qu)山為(wei)(wei)之(zhi)建張育祠,并(bing)尊(zun)(zun)奉他為(wei)(wei)雷澤龍神(shen)。其時七曲(qu)(qu)山另有(you)梓(zi)潼(tong)神(shen)亞子(zi)祠,因(yin)兩祠相(xiang)鄰(lin),后人(ren)(ren)將兩祠神(shen)名合稱張亞子(zi),并(bing)稱張亞子(zi)仕晉(jin)(jin)戰歿。實為(wei)(wei)《晉(jin)(jin)書》所載(zai)張育之(zhi)事。左(zuo)右二童(tong)子(zi)稱天聾、地啞,是(shi)文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)昌(chang)(chang)帝(di)君(jun)(jun)(jun)的(de)(de)兩個侍童(tong),一個掌管(guan)文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)人(ren)(ren)錄運薄冊,一個手持(chi)文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)昌(chang)(chang)大印。意思是(shi):能知者(zhe)不能言,能言者(zhe)不能知。文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)昌(chang)(chang)帝(di)君(jun)(jun)(jun)掌管(guan)文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)章科舉,關系富(fu)貴貧賤,保(bao)密問題很重要,以免天機泄漏。
關圣殿內供關圣帝(di)君,左(zuo)右供周倉(cang)、關平二位將軍。
城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)隍神(shen),是城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)市(shi)的(de)(de)保護神(shen),“城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)”,就(jiu)是城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)池;“隍”是干涸的(de)(de)護城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)河,“城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)”和(he)“隍”都是保護城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)市(shi)安全(quan)的(de)(de)軍事設施(shi)。
城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)廟里供(gong)(gong)(gong)奉(feng)(feng)(feng)(feng)的(de)(de)(de)城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)神(shen)(shen)(shen),多(duo)數(shu)在(zai)(zai)(zai)歷史(shi)上(shang)(shang)確有(you)(you)其(qi)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)。能夠(gou)成(cheng)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)神(shen)(shen)(shen)的(de)(de)(de)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)基(ji)本(ben)(ben)分為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)這樣幾類:第(di)(di)一(yi)類是(shi)(shi)一(yi)些有(you)(you)政(zheng)績的(de)(de)(de)地(di)方(fang)官,在(zai)(zai)(zai)去世(shi)之(zhi)(zhi)后(hou),本(ben)(ben)地(di)的(de)(de)(de)百(bai)(bai)姓(xing)(xing)(xing)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)了(le)表彰他(ta)(ta)(ta)的(de)(de)(de)功(gong)(gong)績,供(gong)(gong)(gong)奉(feng)(feng)(feng)(feng)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)本(ben)(ben)地(di)的(de)(de)(de)城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)神(shen)(shen)(shen),并且希望(wang)(wang)他(ta)(ta)(ta)在(zai)(zai)(zai)天之(zhi)(zhi)靈(ling)依就(jiu)能夠(gou)保(bao)(bao)佑本(ben)(ben)地(di)的(de)(de)(de)百(bai)(bai)姓(xing)(xing)(xing)。如(ru)上(shang)(shang)海奉(feng)(feng)(feng)(feng)賢(xian)縣(xian)城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)神(shen)(shen)(shen)周(zhou)中鋐,是(shi)(shi)清(qing)代松江知府,生(sheng)前(qian)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)官清(qing)廉(lian),最后(hou)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)治理地(di)方(fang)水患以(yi)身殉職(zhi),奉(feng)(feng)(feng)(feng)賢(xian)縣(xian)的(de)(de)(de)百(bai)(bai)姓(xing)(xing)(xing)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)了(le)紀(ji)(ji)念他(ta)(ta)(ta),供(gong)(gong)(gong)奉(feng)(feng)(feng)(feng)他(ta)(ta)(ta)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)奉(feng)(feng)(feng)(feng)賢(xian)縣(xian)的(de)(de)(de)城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)神(shen)(shen)(shen);第(di)(di)二類是(shi)(shi)國家的(de)(de)(de)功(gong)(gong)臣,其(qi)生(sheng)前(qian)曾經拯救(jiu)了(le)國家和百(bai)(bai)姓(xing)(xing)(xing),人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)們(men)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)了(le)表示感激(ji)之(zhi)(zhi)情,將他(ta)(ta)(ta)供(gong)(gong)(gong)奉(feng)(feng)(feng)(feng)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)神(shen)(shen)(shen),這類城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)神(shen)(shen)(shen)中有(you)(you)普通的(de)(de)(de)百(bai)(bai)姓(xing)(xing)(xing),也有(you)(you)國家的(de)(de)(de)功(gong)(gong)臣,如(ru)浙江義烏(wu)(wu)縣(xian)城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)項顯佑,生(sheng)前(qian)幫助朱元璋統一(yi)天下,1367年(nian)(nian),江浙一(yi)帶大旱,項顯佑散(san)家財賑(zhen)濟百(bai)(bai)姓(xing)(xing)(xing),救(jiu)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)無數(shu),義烏(wu)(wu)百(bai)(bai)姓(xing)(xing)(xing)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)了(le)紀(ji)(ji)念他(ta)(ta)(ta),就(jiu)供(gong)(gong)(gong)奉(feng)(feng)(feng)(feng)他(ta)(ta)(ta)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)義烏(wu)(wu)縣(xian)的(de)(de)(de)城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)神(shen)(shen)(shen);第(di)(di)三類是(shi)(shi)生(sheng)前(qian)正(zheng)(zheng)直的(de)(de)(de)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren),如(ru)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)官清(qing)廉(lian),為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)正(zheng)(zheng)直等,去世(shi)以(yi)后(hou),人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)們(men)認為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)他(ta)(ta)(ta)在(zai)(zai)(zai)冥界一(yi)樣能夠(gou)保(bao)(bao)持其(qi)正(zheng)(zheng)直的(de)(de)(de)品德,保(bao)(bao)護本(ben)(ben)地(di)百(bai)(bai)姓(xing)(xing)(xing),將他(ta)(ta)(ta)供(gong)(gong)(gong)奉(feng)(feng)(feng)(feng)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)神(shen)(shen)(shen)。如(ru)北京城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)楊(yang)淑(shu)山,明代嘉靖年(nian)(nian)間進士,官至兵部員外郎,以(yi)剛正(zheng)(zheng)不阿(a)而(er)(er)著名。因彈(dan)劾嚴(yan)(yan)嵩的(de)(de)(de)十(shi)大罪狀而(er)(er)被捕入獄(yu),后(hou)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)嚴(yan)(yan)嵩所害(hai)。北京的(de)(de)(de)百(bai)(bai)姓(xing)(xing)(xing)就(jiu)將他(ta)(ta)(ta)供(gong)(gong)(gong)奉(feng)(feng)(feng)(feng)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)自己(ji)的(de)(de)(de)城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)神(shen)(shen)(shen);第(di)(di)四類是(shi)(shi)行善(shan)的(de)(de)(de)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)死(si)后(hou)成(cheng)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)神(shen)(shen)(shen),這些人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)通常在(zai)(zai)(zai)生(sheng)前(qian)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)本(ben)(ben)地(di)的(de)(de)(de)百(bai)(bai)姓(xing)(xing)(xing)做(zuo)了(le)很多(duo)的(de)(de)(de)好(hao)事(shi)(shi),人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)們(men)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)了(le)紀(ji)(ji)念他(ta)(ta)(ta),同時希望(wang)(wang)他(ta)(ta)(ta)在(zai)(zai)(zai)冥界也能夠(gou)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)老百(bai)(bai)姓(xing)(xing)(xing)做(zuo)好(hao)事(shi)(shi),就(jiu)將他(ta)(ta)(ta)供(gong)(gong)(gong)奉(feng)(feng)(feng)(feng)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)神(shen)(shen)(shen)。如(ru)烏(wu)(wu)魯木齊城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)神(shen)(shen)(shen)是(shi)(shi)陜西人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)紀(ji)(ji)永寧,相傳嘉靖三十(shi)一(yi)年(nian)(nian)地(di)震,曾捐資埋葬死(si)者四十(shi)余人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren),多(duo)行善(shan)事(shi)(shi),上(shang)(shang)天以(yi)其(qi)一(yi)心行善(shan),封其(qi)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)烏(wu)(wu)魯木齊城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)之(zhi)(zhi)神(shen)(shen)(shen)。可見,城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)神(shen)(shen)(shen)作為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)市保(bao)(bao)護神(shen)(shen)(shen),老百(bai)(bai)姓(xing)(xing)(xing)希望(wang)(wang)能夠(gou)得到他(ta)(ta)(ta)的(de)(de)(de)保(bao)(bao)護,所以(yi),城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)神(shen)(shen)(shen)都(dou)是(shi)(shi)由一(yi)些公(gong)忠正(zheng)(zheng)直的(de)(de)(de)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)擔任。
城(cheng)隍(huang)神(shen)的職能:保(bao)城(cheng)護民(min),懲(cheng)惡揚善(shan),監察萬(wan)民(min),祛除(chu)災厄。《太上老(lao)君說城(cheng)隍(huang)感應消災集福(fu)(fu)妙經》中說城(cheng)隍(huang)神(shen):“公忠正直,有求必應,如影隨形,代天理物,剪惡除(chu)兇,護國(guo)保(bao)邦,功施(shi)社稷(ji),溥降甘(gan)澤,普救生民(min)”,“哀憫世(shi)(shi)間(jian)一切眾生,或有年災月(yue)厄,命運騫滯(zhi)……,吾當速譴行(xing)瘟(wen)使者,收瘟(wen)圣眾,即除(chu)罪簿,永滅惡根。”“世(shi)(shi)間(jian)若有善(shan)男子(zi),善(shan)女(nv)人(ren),廣(guang)積(ji)陰(yin)功,行(xing)諸方便,施(shi)財周急(ji),愛(ai)老(lao)憐貧……”則“增(zeng)延福(fu)(fu)壽(shou),世(shi)(shi)代榮昌,子(zi)嗣綿永,世(shi)(shi)世(shi)(shi)不絕(jue)。”“城(cheng)隍(huang)尊神(shen),顯化(hua)無(wu)邊,禱(dao)雨則甘(gan)霖蘇(su)槁(gao),禾稼成(cheng)熟,祈晴(qing)則化(hua)陰(yin)成(cheng)陽,應時朗(lang)晴(qing)。”
