漳州木(mu)版(ban)年畫(hua)(hua)始(shi)于宋(song)代,當(dang)時福建的刻(ke)書業開始(shi)興(xing)盛,迅(xun)速帶動了民間(jian)版(ban)畫(hua)(hua)刻(ke)印技(ji)術的發展(zhan),漳州木(mu)版(ban)年畫(hua)(hua)也隨福建雕(diao)版(ban)的發展(zhan)而發展(zhan)。
明代(dai)(dai)(dai),漳(zhang)(zhang)(zhang)州(zhou)木(mu)(mu)(mu)版(ban)(ban)年畫(hua)開始走向興盛(sheng)(sheng),當時漳(zhang)(zhang)(zhang)州(zhou)已(yi)經有(you)(you)“曲文(wen)齋(zhai)”“多(duo)文(wen)齋(zhai)”等(deng)多(duo)家(jia)(jia)(jia)書坊兼營(ying)年畫(hua)。近代(dai)(dai)(dai)學者葉(xie)德輝在《書林(lin)清話(hua)》中稱“宋(song)刻書之(zhi)盛(sheng)(sheng),首推閩(min)中”。發(fa)展到清代(dai)(dai)(dai),更(geng)有(you)(you)“胡慶堂”“俊記”“錦(jin)源堂”等(deng)12家(jia)(jia)(jia)書坊參與年畫(hua)制作(zuo)經營(ying)。從而(er)漳(zhang)(zhang)(zhang)州(zhou)木(mu)(mu)(mu)版(ban)(ban)年畫(hua)藝術日趨(qu)成熟。年畫(hua)的(de)(de)題材和構圖形式(shi)漸趨(qu)穩定,繪畫(hua)技巧和雕版(ban)(ban)、印制技術不斷提(ti)高。期間漳(zhang)(zhang)(zhang)州(zhou)對(dui)外(wai)貿易港(gang)口(kou)“月港(gang)”的(de)(de)興起,繁榮(rong)的(de)(de)海上貿易,也給木(mu)(mu)(mu)版(ban)(ban)年畫(hua)的(de)(de)外(wai)銷(xiao)帶來了有(you)(you)利條(tiao)件(jian),增進了木(mu)(mu)(mu)版(ban)(ban)年畫(hua)大量向海外(wai)輸(shu)出,產品遠(yuan)銷(xiao)到臺(tai)灣、香港(gang)、東南亞及日本等(deng)地(di)。而(er)當地(di)最大的(de)(de)木(mu)(mu)(mu)版(ban)(ban)年畫(hua)作(zuo)坊,以顏(yan)(yan)氏家(jia)(jia)(jia)族的(de)(de)顏(yan)(yan)錦(jin)華(hua)老店(dian)為首。從早期開設的(de)(de)“錦(jin)華(hua)堂”書畫(hua)作(zuo)坊,經過幾代(dai)(dai)(dai)傳(chuan)(chuan)承人的(de)(de)努力(li),至清末民國(guo)初(chu)時,基本形成了顏(yan)(yan)氏一家(jia)(jia)(jia)獨(du)大的(de)(de)格(ge)局,抗戰(zhan)前后,顏(yan)(yan)錦(jin)華(hua)老店(dian)成為漳(zhang)(zhang)(zhang)州(zhou)木(mu)(mu)(mu)版(ban)(ban)年畫(hua)的(de)(de)集大成者。流傳(chuan)(chuan)下來的(de)(de)眾多(duo)漳(zhang)(zhang)(zhang)州(zhou)木(mu)(mu)(mu)版(ban)(ban)年畫(hua)精品,基本都(dou)是顏(yan)(yan)錦(jin)華(hua)老店(dian)的(de)(de)珍藏版(ban)(ban)。
20世紀初(chu),漳(zhang)(zhang)州(zhou)聯(lian)子街、香港路(lu)、臺(tai)灣路(lu)一(yi)帶集中(zhong)了大(da)(da)批(pi)年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)畫(hua)(hua)(hua)店,漳(zhang)(zhang)州(zhou)的“聯(lian)子街”因(yin)而得名。而后由于先進的西方(fang)印(yin)(yin)刷術(shu)的傳(chuan)入,在社會(hui)(hui)的急劇動蕩(dang)中(zhong),年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)畫(hua)(hua)(hua)業(ye)開(kai)始走向衰落。抗(kang)日戰爭時期(qi),中(zhong)國(guo)(guo)經濟衰退,又因(yin)與臺(tai)灣和(he)東(dong)(dong)南亞失去了貿易(yi)聯(lian)系,生意則比較蕭條(tiao),漳(zhang)(zhang)州(zhou)的許多(duo)術(shu)版(ban)年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)畫(hua)(hua)(hua)作坊紛(fen)紛(fen)倒閉。直至50年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)代尚(shang)有八(ba)九家(jia)(jia)存(cun)在。此后,漳(zhang)(zhang)州(zhou)地區鄉(xiang)間(jian)(jian)逢年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)過節(jie)張(zhang)貼木(mu)版(ban)年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)畫(hua)(hua)(hua)的習俗漸(jian)漸(jian)消失,木(mu)版(ban)年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)畫(hua)(hua)(hua)市場衰弱,年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)畫(hua)(hua)(hua)作坊大(da)(da)多(duo)停業(ye),境況已大(da)(da)不如前。文革期(qi)間(jian)(jian),閩南的木(mu)版(ban)年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)畫(hua)(hua)(hua)受到(dao)(dao)巨大(da)(da)沖擊,泉州(zhou)年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)畫(hua)(hua)(hua)雕(diao)版(ban)被付之(zhi)一(yi)炬,幾乎蕩(dang)然(ran)無存(cun)。而在漳(zhang)(zhang)州(zhou),顏(yan)家(jia)(jia)將300多(duo)塊年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)畫(hua)(hua)(hua)雕(diao)版(ban)藏到(dao)(dao)鄉(xiang)下(xia),才得以保留 。1957年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)顏(yan)家(jia)(jia)傳(chuan)人顏(yan)家(jia)(jia)鏡(jing)印(yin)(yin)制(zhi)了一(yi)套(tao)漳(zhang)(zhang)州(zhou)古木(mu)版(ban)年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)畫(hua)(hua)(hua),被國(guo)(guo)家(jia)(jia)定為民(min)(min)間(jian)(jian)藝(yi)(yi)術(shu)品(pin)赴蘇聯(lian)東(dong)(dong)歐各國(guo)(guo)展覽;1986年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)顏(yan)文華又印(yin)(yin)制(zhi)了一(yi)套(tao)古木(mu)版(ban)年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)畫(hua)(hua)(hua),參(can)加福建民(min)(min)間(jian)(jian)美展晉京展;1988年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)在全國(guo)(guo)民(min)(min)間(jian)(jian)美術(shu)工作大(da)(da)會(hui)(hui)上得到(dao)(dao)與會(hui)(hui)專(zhuan)家(jia)(jia)們(men)高度贊賞(shang);1990年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)載入《中(zhong)國(guo)(guo)民(min)(min)間(jian)(jian)藝(yi)(yi)術(shu)大(da)(da)辭典》。 2001年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)漳(zhang)(zhang)州(zhou)市藝(yi)(yi)術(shu)館館長林育培所(suo)撰《漳(zhang)(zhang)州(zhou)民(min)(min)間(jian)(jian)木(mu)版(ban)年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)畫(hua)(hua)(hua)初(chu)探》一(yi)文榮獲第十一(yi)屆“群星獎”(群眾文化(hua)科研(yan)成果評(ping)獎)金獎。
2006年5月(yue),漳(zhang)州(zhou)(zhou)木(mu)版(ban)年畫(hua)(hua)(hua)列入(ru)第(di)一批國家級非物質文(wen)化遺(yi)產(chan)名(ming)(ming)錄。同年,漳(zhang)州(zhou)(zhou)顏(yan)氏(shi)木(mu)版(ban)年畫(hua)(hua)(hua)第(di)五(wu)、六代傳(chuan)人——顏(yan)文(wen)華和(he)顏(yan)仕國父子共同創辦(ban)了漳(zhang)州(zhou)(zhou)顏(yan)錦(jin)華木(mu)版(ban)年畫(hua)(hua)(hua)館,并用家藏老版(ban)、傳(chuan)統(tong)技法(fa)繼續印制和(he)銷售木(mu)版(ban)年畫(hua)(hua)(hua)。2009年1月(yue)18日,《漳(zhang)州(zhou)(zhou)木(mu)版(ban)年畫(hua)(hua)(hua)》特(te)種郵(you)票首發(fa)式暨(ji)中國2009世(shi)界郵(you)展60城(cheng)市(shi)(shi)巡郵(you)到漳(zhang)州(zhou)(zhou)。直接以地域(yu)命名(ming)(ming)的《漳(zhang)州(zhou)(zhou)木(mu)版(ban)年畫(hua)(hua)(hua)》郵(you)票是(shi)繼1990年《水仙花》之后,漳(zhang)州(zhou)(zhou)市(shi)(shi)第(di)二次登(deng)上“國家名(ming)(ming)片” 。
漳(zhang)州(zhou)木(mu)版年畫(hua)(hua)(hua)的品種很(hen)多,從形(xing)式上看(kan),有不同類別的各種門(men)畫(hua)(hua)(hua)、門(men)頂畫(hua)(hua)(hua)、中(zhong)堂(tang)畫(hua)(hua)(hua),有欣賞用(yong)的獨幅畫(hua)(hua)(hua)、連環(huan)畫(hua)(hua)(hua)等。
門畫(hua)(hua)(hua)(hua)(hua)如(ru)(ru)(ru):《天(tian)官賜(si)福》《加冠(guan)進(jin)祿》《簪花晉爵》《神荼(tu)郁壘》《秦瓊(qiong)敬德(de)》《添丁進(jin)財》等等;門頂畫(hua)(hua)(hua)(hua)(hua)如(ru)(ru)(ru):《八卦》《獅(shi)街劍(jian)》《五虎(hu)抱錢》;中堂畫(hua)(hua)(hua)(hua)(hua)如(ru)(ru)(ru):《福祿壽喜春(chun)》《和合仙》《三仙姑(gu)》《招財王石宗》《春(chun)招財子(zi)》《連(lian)招貴子(zi)》《百子(zi)千(qian)孫(sun)》等;布置居室的獨幅(fu)畫(hua)(hua)(hua)(hua)(hua)、連(lian)環畫(hua)(hua)(hua)(hua)(hua)如(ru)(ru)(ru)《郭(guo)子(zi)儀拜(bai)壽》《孟姜(jiang)女前(qian)后本》等。
而(er)門畫(hua)(hua)(hua)又有(you)粗幼(you)神(shen)、文武神(shen)之(zhi)別。“粗神(shen)”指的(de)是(shi)以大(da)紅或朱紅紙為(wei)底加以印制的(de)門畫(hua)(hua)(hua);“幼(you)神(shen)”是(shi)直接以本色紙印制,其人物背景的(de)淡(dan)紅色,亦是(shi)木版(ban)年畫(hua)(hua)(hua)藝(yi)人自己調(diao)制套印而(er)成,無須預(yu)先送染(ran)紙房染(ran)過。而(er)不論是(shi)粗神(shen)或幼(you)神(shen),只要門畫(hua)(hua)(hua)畫(hua)(hua)(hua)面上的(de)人物沒有(you)騎馬(ma)或插旗的(de),則又稱其為(wei)“文神(shen)”;反之(zhi)即“武神(shen)”。如《秦瓊敬(jing)德(de)》《騎馬(ma)天仙送子(zi)》《連招財子(zi)》等,其文、武類別各(ge)異(yi)。此外,各(ge)種年畫(hua)(hua)(hua)又有(you)開本大(da)小之(zhi)分(fen),如大(da)割(ge)、二(er)割(ge)、三割(ge)、四(si)割(ge)、六割(ge)等數種不同規格。
漳州木版(ban)年(nian)畫(hua)藝術技法和工藝過程獨(du)具(ju)一格,其雕版(ban)線條粗細迥異、剛柔相濟,以挺健黑線為(wei)主。用(yong)色追求(qiu)簡明對比,印(yin)制采用(yong)分版(ban)分色手工套印(yin),稱為(wei)“飾版(ban)”。所用(yong)顏料分水質和粉質兩種,有大(da)紅、淡(dan)紅、黑以及本色紙諸種。漳州年(nian)畫(hua)構圖大(da)方,造(zao)型夸張,特別是用(yong)黑紙印(yin)制的年(nian)畫(hua),為(wei)其他地(di)區罕見。
漳州木(mu)版(ban)(ban)年(nian)畫的雕版(ban)(ban)分陽版(ban)(ban)和陰版(ban)(ban)兩種,印制“幼神”人物背景色(紅(hong))的版(ban)(ban)為(wei)陰版(ban)(ban),這(zhe)種陰版(ban)(ban)的刻法和用(yong)法為(wei)中(zhong)國(guo)所(suo)獨(du)有(you)。雕版(ban)(ban)上所(suo)有(you)線條(tiao)和色塊的邊緣都是向(xiang)外(wai)傾(qing)斜的,這(zhe)便于印制時調節(jie)水分。印制時采用(yong)版(ban)(ban)套印,先色版(ban)(ban)后黑線條(tiao)版(ban)(ban)。
隨著社會變(bian)革(ge)的(de)深入,傳統意識逐漸消除,民(min)間民(min)俗(su)活動因之而發生變(bian)化(hua),依托于地方民(min)俗(su)的(de)漳(zhang)州木板年畫(hua)觀賞性增強,而趨吉避邪的(de)實用性減(jian)弱,由此造成(cheng)年畫(hua)市(shi)場(chang)的(de)蕭條。隨著原來民(min)間年畫(hua)市(shi)場(chang)的(de)萎縮,從事漳(zhang)州木板年畫(hua)生產的(de)人員大大減(jian)少。面對木版(ban)年畫(hua)的(de)境況,漳(zhang)州市(shi)文(wen)化(hua)部門也(ye)多(duo)次呼吁,希(xi)望有關部門劃撥場(chang)地搶救(jiu)木版(ban)年畫(hua),收藏(zang)雕版(ban)。
顏(yan)氏(shi)家族木版年畫(hua)(hua)(hua)傳承人顏(yan)仕國(guo)認為,雖然(ran)現代(dai)的(de)(de)印刷(shua)技術(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)日臻完善,但手(shou)工(gong)印刷(shua)那種(zhong)古樸、粗獷的(de)(de)藝(yi)術(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)風格卻是(shi)(shi)難以(yi)替代(dai)的(de)(de)。年畫(hua)(hua)(hua)是(shi)(shi)一(yi)(yi)種(zhong)祈求(qiu),一(yi)(yi)種(zhong)裝飾,更是(shi)(shi)一(yi)(yi)種(zhong)傳統(tong)的(de)(de)民(min)俗(su)。如今(jin)隨著時代(dai)的(de)(de)發展(zhan)和民(min)間風俗(su)的(de)(de)改(gai)變,木版年畫(hua)(hua)(hua)作為一(yi)(yi)種(zhong)藝(yi)術(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)裝飾品的(de)(de)藝(yi)術(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)價值是(shi)(shi)無可替代(dai)的(de)(de)。只要(yao)重新(xin)(xin)挖(wa)掘它的(de)(de)內在的(de)(de)藝(yi)術(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)價值,并賦予新(xin)(xin)的(de)(de)時代(dai)內涵(han),木版年畫(hua)(hua)(hua)仍然(ran)能夠受到社會的(de)(de)重新(xin)(xin)認同。
漳州民間(jian)木版年畫(hua)(hua)的(de)學(xue)術(shu)價值在(zai)于它(ta)(ta)的(de)出現使學(xue)術(shu)界(jie)弄清了臺灣木版年畫(hua)(hua)與(yu)漳州木版年畫(hua)(hua)的(de)淵源關系,它(ta)(ta)在(zai)中國的(de)民間(jian)藝術(shu)中,是南方(fang)民間(jian)木版年畫(hua)(hua)里具有(you)粗獷(guang)和秀麗兼長(chang)的(de)獨特品種。
